That's disappointing. Chancer.

Pretty sure he published Wakefield.
Not sure who's going to stop you if you actually want to do that, whatever the rules are by then.
I feel like talking about when the US will peak is a little like talking about when Europe will peak. This is a massive country and state governments have a lot of leverage, so you're going to see very different results in places like California, Florida, New York, etc.
New York looks pretty worrying right now.
As for going on holiday, I'm genuinely more worried about still having a job by the time this is over.
Fiona Bruce would be a difficult shag.
14 cruise ships off Australia and Sydney International Airport has been a mess this week.
10 more deaths here today.
Done really well with community tracing and testing so far but we are still right at the begining of this with so many Cruise Ships coming back and Australians still coming home.
One absolute cunt of a human being got off a Cruise ship in Sydney then went to a birthday in QLD infecting 15 or so people.
Sydney is going to be our Lombardy without a doubt as they have had a nightmare working with border secruity at both Cruise ship terminals and at their International Airport. It is why all the surrounding states have closed borders with them.
QLD Health have been world class since day one with this forcing thousands of people into isolation since the end of January.
The PM is sticking to 6 months of this at least.

It's all a bit weird. People are walking about here, doing their business. It's sort of scarce with people (or, really scarce really), all bars are mostly empty, but apart from that, not all that much different. You see ambulances driving around lots.
We've basically put an immense amount of trust into peoples own discipline and it remains to be seen whether it will work out decently. I kind of doubt it, unfortunately. We seem to be hitting day 0 about now, maybe today.
What the fuck is Trump talking about here?
BTW has anyone on here had it yet?
No one confirmed I don't think but then Yeldoo was the only one who got it early enough to get a test.
Are there any supermarkets/alternatives that I can actually order food from now?
Me I've been nursing what I'm convinced has been a bang average cold for the past 3 weeks. It's never really kicked off, but I still walk around with this very annoying but harmless dry cough. It sort of comes and goes. The thought struck me at some point what if this is it and I'm now immune but it's sort of wishful thinking, and besides noone around me seems to have gotten sick.
Still, it's a bit of a pain when you're out walking about, people proper shy away from you when you do a little cough, even though I'm very careful not to ever cough anywhere except into my elbow.
I mean, I understand them.
First confirmed death at my work in London. Underlying health conditions. No idea the age.
Having the same title as Luca.
That must be the worst abbreviation ever.
I think he lives in Mlmo.
I had a look earlier and everywhere seems to have their delivery slots full or are reserving them for the vulnerable. Not sure how you prove that to them but I'm not enough of a cunt to try and trick them.
It's shit though, I really don't want to have to go to a supermarket at all never mind possibly have to queue outside it for ages. If they were still open all night I'd happily go about 2am but they've stopped that.
Full-time, it's great because it's free and it's quite a decent school. I think it attracts a lot of hardcore finance types and the subject matter taught kind of reflects that, which is great in some ways (job security), but also makes the technical parts of the econ MSc i'm in quite a lot easier than I was hoping for.
Was choosing between Bocconi and SSE last spring. Thank fuck I didn't choose Milan

The antibody test will be my nemesis. Just give me till June like you promised, you cunts.
This is a fascinating lens through which to understand how the Atletico-Liverpool/Valencia-Atalanta matches may have contributed to the COVID-19 spread. The researchers looked at 3 typical reactions to a pandemic - ignore, hide, and flee - and concluded that those who 'flee' significantly exacerbate the situation.
At the extremes of their model, a population that completely ignores the disease basically has a 100% infection rate and the epidemic lasts ages, while a population who completely hunkers down has a fairly low (~28%) infection rate and the epidemic lasts much longer. However, if you suppose that only 10% of the population 'flees' while the others hunker down (or, in this case, travels back home), the infection rate spikes to 64%, even though the epidemic lasts for a shorter time than the "all-hunker-down" case (read: many more people get sick much quicker).
Of course, this is an agent-based simulation, and I'm just Luca, but it's one of the better things I've read recently on this. The conclusion is fairly self-evident (people traveling during a pandemic is bad), but the magnitude of 'how bad' given a (relatively) small amount of travel surprised me.

PM just said that all arrivals at ports and airports from 12pm tonight will be legally required to lockdown inside the closest possible hotels for 2 weeks before they can go home. The State Police forces will be strictly enforcing the Law with the assitance of the Australian Defense Force.
No more fucking around now these fucking boomers cunts cant be trusted so they need martial law to keep the rest of us safe.
Also all known people with covid who are at home will be getting checked on by local police 24 hours a day.

Also a great point made by Scomo is that people who keep pushing for stricter measures are those whose jobs arent at threat eg Greens politicians and journalists.
The way the Greens have carried on this week has been disgraceful. Constantly envoking mummy Jacinda, who shut down a country of what 4.7 million, so they can score points with their wealthy inner city base whose way of life isnt at all at threat by a lock down.
