It's sort of one of my pet peeves. I understand when you'll try to tackle and misjudge it or whatever and concede the penalty, but stupid reactions like this one or the one in the Colombia match really irk me.

I mean, I would be furious in his position too, but it's no coincidence that it's predominantly the south american/mediterranean players that show that much of a childish behavior when things go sour. And he only really started being that furious after a penalty call where he was clearly acting. That won't gain many sympathy points from me.
That said Brazil do deserve to win, no doubt. Costa Rica had a few nice plays in the first half but they've been very cynical.
Coutinho is their real star.

There's been way too many fouls this tournament, at least in the games I've seen. The refs need to start giving yellows. Playacting needs to be retrospectively punished too.
Maybe it is because I am used to Latin American football, but I haven't noticed more fouls than usual.

South American coaches always have their pet players. Firmino would probably have to score 3 as a sub to get a look in at starting (although he clearly should, not biased at all, like). Jesus is a better goalscorer, but Firmino would get more out of their other stars (and seeing as that is their game he would be better for them). Paulinho's another one. They're wasting Coutinho as well, as Liverpool did in the brief 'fab 4' era, you lose so much of what he can do when he's always picking the ball u on the halfway line. He's a forward. There's also the danger that they are going to get absolutely rinsed down that flank by anyone half decent as Marcelo-Coutinho-Neymar might be just about the least defensively capable trio in those role in football history.
