Tbf the fact that manc started stalking me and posting shite every time I said something roughly when shindig stopped doing it at least made me consider that I am indeed a bit of a chode, but i thought about it and I'm not, and that's that.
Brisvegas lockdown has been lifted.
8 day lockdown appears to have contained the Delta variant.
Now watch it spread like wildfire on the Gold Coast and Cairns.

A NSW health rep just broke down on telly saying the ICU in NSW is at breaking point.
67 covid patients in ICU 29 on ventilators.
The NSW Health Minister just brushed off a lockdown question to say the ICU in NSW is the best in the world. Lol wat?
Sydney is deadset Trump country.

Yesterday's numbers have a +3k increase on last week and I'm hearing of more and more people testing positive in my circles.
Was at my first festival on Saturday, absolute scenes. Give me August bank holiday too and then lock it all down again for all I care.
Feel quite good now. Still a short of breath mess on any steep incline but I've been getting out and about and feeling energetic so I'll consider COVID complete.
In other news, I'm raging that Boomtown got cancelled as it would have been this coming weekend and been fine. I should have booked a soulless Tory festival with proper financial backing. Still ain't got my refund from Boom.
How long has that been?
I went out out on Saturday night. Outside of local pubs everything is still broken round here.
What's this absolute mental shit I heard about in Scotland that if you are in a club you have to wear a mask whilst walking around but not while you are dancing. Seriously?
That can't be true, surely?
Maybe it's a social experiment to see if you can make nightclubs even shitter and still have people pretending they're great.
No mask is needed for the 3 Ds - Drinking, Dancing and Dining. Otherwise mask up. Bonkers.
I had a really normal weekend that felt like being back in 2019. Two restaurants, a pub and a shopping trip. Ordering at the bar, no crazy one way system, 8 of us around a table and no requirement for masks.

Part of me is warming to Vaccine Passports because the Anti-Vaxxers not being allowed to do anything would be extremely funny.
I love University Campuses being right up top. More insight into who the respondents are.
Does visit cover 'be treated in them' and do 45% of people therefore think we shouldn't be treating anyone, for anything, in a hospital if they haven't had a COVID vaccine?
Almost certainly yes.
While I was enjoying a delicious pint in gale force winds on Saturday night I saw a (traditional) family of three walk past where the Dad and kid weren't wearing a mask but the Mum was (while holding the Dad's hand).
I would love to be a fly on the wall in that household.
Why are you still in lockdown?
Still see masks in shops (about 50/50 now) and queues are still distanced (that can stay please), but everything genuinely does feel back to normal for me now.
Had friends over Saturday, went to a "fun day" on Sunday. Pub lunch. Lovely stuff.
We went out for my wife's birthday this weekend and it was basically pre-pandemic. Ordering at the bar, not a mask in sight, huge groups mixing. There was even a crowd near the bar watching the football. It brought a tear to my eye.
Still masked up in the wasteland. Absolute joke
I'm basically at the point where I'll wear a mask in places if the people I'm with/are there are wearing them to not piss them off, but I find it hard to motivate myself to be the one person with one.
My mask is in my pocket, but I've only put it on a couple of times over the last week or 2.
I wear two everywhere.
I've had my second jab now so I'll probably phase the mask out within a fortnight. I'm definitely starting to feel like a minority. I'm kind of saddened how easy it was to walk in and get jabbed, compared to May. It really is a trickle of people now.
I mean, I couldn't not put it on the vaccination centre.
It's telling that I'm genuinely not sure if he means the mask or the vaccine.
My weekend was very pre covid, went to a wedding, went shopping and out for tea.
Imagine being saddened at the fact you didn't have to queue at the Wacconation centre.
Imagine losing a foot race to a 9 year old.
Let's just say I've never lost since.
How do you manage to judge someone for not having a vax but then not wear a mask yourself?
How did you pick that up? Does covid effect your sight as well?
It wasn't aimed at you, if I was going to question your thinking in life we'd be here for a long time.
I show up to the showground half an hour early as advised only for the car park cunt to tell me to sit in the grandstand untill it is exactly my time. Now in the line the people in front of me are 2 hours early. I'm furious and on top of that I got rained on for 5 minutes as there is zero shelter for the people in line.
SEETHING

That whole setup looks like a shambles.
She was a rough one. Inside was a well oiled machine the process took a couple of minutes. No wonder the hospitals are short staffed because this joint had at least 30 QLD Health staff.
Have they not got any voluntary organisations to fall back on. Some kind of St. Johns Ambulance equivalent?
GP's and Pharmacies are pumping out AZ jabs to people ATM.
Some friends were due to get married Saturday after delaying for a year. The bride has just tested positive so they're having to cancel.
Feel absolutely gutted for them.
