The mighty blades.
Figuring out what a Cole Palmer is and why it's worth 42.5m quid
Saudi oil money everywhere
Chelsea Boehl money everywhere
United rummaging around in the bargain bin
It being done for another few months
Something sensible like your club actually signing somebody decent
The mighty blades.
Anthony Gordon has been really good this season.
Jesus Sheffield Utd. are abysmal.
Just replace the bombs with Anthony Gordon smashing buildings.
Heckingbottom with the 'bloody hell' mid shit.
Apropos of nothing, I've just been reminded of this amazing video
8-0 with all goalscorers being unique is pretty crazy.
Chelsea's next manager will be whoever is flavour-of-the-month. Currently it's De Zerbi.
I know it's easy to say, and I probably said it before about Potter, but I do genuinely wonder whether he would take the Chelsea job given what is going on at both clubs.
I guess, in the end, money talks, but Chelsea are years away from being any good, and the teams ahead of them are moving away from them at the moment, not towards them [Brighton included].
Almost anybody would accept a fuck you/retirement money contract that has a good chance of being paid in full within a year.
You can already see Will Still in the dugout.
He's WEST HAM isn't he?
And he'd be next in after De Zerbi [at both clubs].
Hopefully Mourinho is unemployed soon and they end up with him again.
Nah, think about Mourinho at Brighton.
Chelsea should just reappoint Potter. They're probably still paying him and, in retrospect, his stint there was pretty good by the standards since.
Pochettino is irrelevant, nobody could turn this into a good team. Boehly just doesn't have a clue on a grand scale. We need to stop taking Americans seriously. These are not people who have the first clue about the outside world.
Lol
The our game is indeed ruined.
Chelsea are 5th on xPTS, kids, so calm your very little boners.
Got to say I have no idea how that Gusto one gets upgraded from yellow to red whilst Nketiah is free to mow the Spurs 'keeper down with relative impunity.
The sport is in a seriously bad place with the ref stuff. Unsolvable too. When it was one bloke making subjective calls on the fly, you could just do a round of 'the referee's a wanker' and move on. Now it's several blokes making subjective calls on video, you've psychologically succumbed to 'we must arrive at the correct decision' which either a) doesn't exist or b) isn't reachable by the northern thickies available.
On the referee stuff I have to say it was very satisfying to see Heckingbottom’s team getting smashed after his disgraceful ‘we have to stop them’ rant last weekend. Should have been sanctioned for that.
That was a load of arrogant bullshit. Referee's job is to stop you timewasting. He doesn't give a fuck why you are taking ages. Your job is not to take ages.
On the northern thing, I believe only 2 of the 20 refs on the PL list (Simon Hooper and Tim Robinson) are from south of Birmingham. That feels incredibly unlikely.
A load of them are from Manchester or surrounding areas iirc
Bruno's been liberated from Chelsea.
@Reg
I'm a twit
Never get tired of reading tweets from Joel Embiid about Peter Drury
Apparently Kane’s three goals don’t count as a hat-trick in Germany because they weren’t consecutive and they weren’t all in the same half. I wonder if FM knows those rules.
I'm a twit
Barnes potentially out for months.
Emergency loan for Ben Arfa is the dream.
XG Champions, you’ll never sing that.
The QUAD is still on
lol
Rumours Osimhen may take legal action against Napoli after their tik-tok account produced two videos ripping the fuck out of him in two days. Hell of a way to lose your best player.
The video is shit, Osimhen's reaction is shit, and Napoli are shit.
I planned a trip to Italy to watch my boy Azmoun at Roma and the game got moved so ended up watching Napoli tonight as a backup. Slapped on my Nigeria kit and now looks like I may have to watch Simeone's favela offspring.
Jesus, this all reads a bit small time.
Mauricio Pochettino has said that Mykhailo Mudryk finally not losing to him at crossbar challenge is proof the £88.5m winger is becoming more confident after a difficult start to his Chelsea career.
They have suffered from a lack of ruthlessness in attack, with five goals in their first six league games, and Pochettino made his inexperienced side do shooting practice at the end of training on Tuesday.
“The problem with confidence is we cannot buy it in the supermarket,” Chelsea’s head coach said. “It is about time. You know how it works in the brain. It is about little by little creating situations that can provide the trust and the confidence and the belief.
“One example: today, with Mudryk, I like to play hitting the crossbar from outside the box. He said to me today: ‘No, I’m not going to play any more with you because always you win.’ I said: ‘Yes, because I have the belief – the balance between belief and quality I know very well because I am 50 years old and you are still young.’ Today was the first time that we draw.
“Now you start to believe in yourself, you start to believe in your quality because, if not, it is not good balance in between belief and quality. It is difficult. You work on the psychology of the player and provide the players with the confidence to touch the ball and score. It’s a small example.”
Easy to dismiss but I've got a lot of time for any man who recognises the importance of psychology on a footballer. Klopp isn't a tactical genius but psychologically, he is one of the all-time greats. The two are equally important. Similarly, you look at players like Bissouma and you see the importance it has on a player.
I'm in on Poch. He needs two years minimum to turn this around.
So, Poch has been playing Colwill (a centre half) at left back whilst benching 2/3 other left backs in Cucurella/Chilwell/Maatsen. Tonight, well tonight he starts all 4 of them.
Just use an academy player you melt
None of the academy boys could beat him at the crossbar challenge.
Dirty Dom just near took the bar off with his goal.
The linesman in the Chelsea game was genuinely drunk (not gonna get onto the referee. Chelsea should have been down to 10). Flagged Jackson offside when he was yards onside and then proceeded to do it again to flag his goal offside when he was clearly on again. Then he flagged Broja offside in his own half when through on goal.
I miss VAR
Just for laughs, Joelinton should stick a cheeky tackle on Guardiola on the way to the dressing room.
