If there's no pass on the CB will stop the ball dead, which essentially tells the team tor reset their movement. Usually a few seconds later there's a line splitting pass played and they move the ball really well.

I was looking at the Man U fixtures just now to see if they still have to play Liverpool again (sadly not) and whilst doing so found that on 26 July they are playing Wrexham at 2.30am, in San Diego California. Game properly gone now.

The team have reverted back into only being able to play well for a half at most. The obvious thing is we create chances and fail to take them leading to pressure later. The lack of goalscorers is the thing that needs fixing next season, it can't just be rashford.

Untied look very 2005-2010 Mourinho-era vintage football to me. Very negative and reliant on a [too] small number of attacking players to do anything positive. The issue (no striker aside) remains that everyone not in the first 11 is pretty much rubbish. By this point in the season the good players are knackered from playing every game. Rotating doesn't work because then you've got Fred playing and not rotating doesn't work because Rashford and Bruno start dying.
