Finished Time. Good and at least the ending wasn't entirely as grim as I expected.

Watched the first episode of Mare of Easttown. It's alright though felt like a lot of setup in the first episode. Anybody else see it?

I also made a start on Black Books as it's not one I've ever seen more than snippets of. It's alright, very of it's time / Linehan's style.

    Mare of Easttown is excellent.

Black Books was good but I haven't rewatched it in years, not as timeless as Father Ted I'd wager.

I've never properly seen Father Ted either but I think when I checked I'd have to get Britbox for that which won't be happening.

Unless it's on All4 which... ugh.

Mare of Easttown has a real True Detective vibe about it. Kate Winslet is excellent.

    Mare of Easttown was brilliant.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - All4 isn't that bad.

I admit I did not notice that but why would you bother with Netflix when it's freely available?

Because he was complaining about All4. Also as Spikey said, adverts. If you already have Netflix, you might as well watch it without ads.

Can't wait to watch that. The first season was some of the most charming telly for years. Who'd have thought it? Most people I've spoken to about it have presumed it would be corny/shit.

Yeah I'm looking forward to that, though hoping this time there'll be no jumping about timelines without explaining what they're doing given they did it last time and it wasn't even building to a twist or a reveal or anything.

I went back to remind myself what the general consensus had been on the Witcher at the time, and:

Regarding Loki I absolutely love it.

I feel if they finish the series well it will be better than Wandavision for me.

I didn't get into it as I hadn't played any of the games at that time. I still might skip it. I might get into the books, though.

Finally got round to season six of Silicon Valley and binged it in an evening. Very good, but glad they ended it when they did because it had become very samey every season.

I don’t think I’ll bother with the extended follow up documentary thing.

Getting through the handsmaids tale. Main observation is the soundtrack is superb. Really picked up end of season two and into three.

Yeah it's quality. Caleb is absolutely great; his trip to That London and the conversation about his hairstyle were particular highlights.

The bits with the guy who talks like the one from Hot Fuzz are also amazing.

I didn’t enjoy the London bit. Felt too forced.

It’s surprisingly informative though, and I wished the series was even longer when I finished it.

Finished season five of The Expanse. Season three is the best one and it slopes downwards on either side. Overall a fairly enjoyable easy watcher despite the multiple flaws that I will outline in the spoilers. Some of the storylines are excellent and do a lot of heavy lifting.

£70 with all the sports and movies, but I get it in two rooms for that and it includes Netflix so I don't have to pay for that anymore.

Not worth it, but just much less hassle than pissing around with a load of stuff on various apps and sources.
