Currently that stands at £75m for Van Dijk, though the add ons for Nunez could take him to £85m all-in. Given Brighton already said piss off to £80m, you'd think it's going close to £100m.
Brighton will then turn to Chelsea and say match/beat it or we're selling to Liverpool. No idea if Chelsea will stump up the cash. If they do, everything points to him choosing them as he's already cleared out his locker and is waiting in London to finish the deal.
I can't imagine Chelsea not wanting to pay up, but is there anything that would stop it FFP wise, considering their mental spend for the past year? To put it into perspective, Chelsea if they get Caicedo will be around the same spend level since June 2022 as Klopp has had in his entire Liverpool tenure.
