After selling up most of my investments I put this team together - switching to a 4-2-2-2 in-game with Cancelo and Messi as CAMs.
Next upgrade is probably Mbappe for Icardi and then Tchouameni (or one of the Marseille people if they look good) for Paqueta. I need to give Paqueta more of a try though. Might also want a better LB than Shaw. He's fine but on 7 chem he only has around 85 pace so I need someone a bit more rapid. Roberto Carlos might be a good option.
I can't believe I have to go back into Managerial Masterpiece with an enforced 85 player taking up a slug of the measly allowance to finish off Chalobah. FML.
You can still get a pretty good team together for MM. Martial and Jesus up top, ASM, Fred and some silver guy in midfield and the FEC and Ake at the back. They upped the requirements so you can get the Silver Stars in there now
I didn't even notice the MM requirements until playing last night. For some reason I forced myself to do that 86 Ligue 1 CAM so I came up against him all the time - I can confirm that even that 85 CDM Chalobah is a bit of a monster, intercepts everything and very strong, especially against the MM shitters you need to use.
I find the stamina a bit lacking the 88 CDM one. He's still the better card than the CB but not going to be in your team for all that long I doubt
EA are giving out compensation picks to people who had RB Edouard in the Year in Review SBC. They are also giving them to people who didnt do the SBC, because they are idiots. Worth a check.
Chalobah is there for 30 days. Might be worth holding on to see if you can triple dip the next two objective cards assuming they need MM. I put this together with Rashford and Martinez as dummy 85s (assuming the card somewhat follow the Chalobah path) https://i.imgur.com/l4MeJNM.jpg

Zakaria becoming a Juve card is fantastic for my Serie A squad. Ice Pereyra has been really good in CM, but HL Zakaria is a clear upgrade for that position now.
Lovey job. That Saliba could well displace Varane, as Marquinhos remains superb for me.

Ended up with that new Portuguese CF from Benfica. Looks like a nice card with a hunter on him but I just cant see myself using him
I got "they're reforming the Damsgaard", to make that my 4th FS packed and incredibly no dupes so far.
Picked untradeable of the crappy rewards offerings. Figured it had the most cards in it to run through the 80+(I do remember how to do this!). Got some 83/4's and dumped it into the party bag.
HM Alaba. Looks a good card even if strangely cheap. However annoyingly, giving how early in I am, doesn't fit in any way at all.
I was staggered how good Alaba's card looks, but I haven't used him yet as he's a nightmare to link, which I'm guessing is why he's so cheap. He'll only ever get a run out in my La Liga side.
I've still got 84s and 83s coming out of my ears on the trade pile, so did the Party Bag. Duplicate untradeable WW Maignan.
He's helped me do the 86 squad segment for Lautaro Martinez though, just the 85 to complete today to finish that off. I also finished up Vidic last night thanks to a 100k pack for 50 Rivals wins giving me Hummels, Parejo, Rodri and Oyarzabal.
Some people were able to claim their rivals multiple times so EA have disabled the ability to claim them. My Bellingham and Tchouameni will obviously have to wait.
Edit, Also supposed to be a Donny Van de Bench coming. Another for the P and P but would have been nice to get when still at United.

He was indeed a ballache to link in the end for me, Courtois being a bit shit. ESP1 is a ballache to hybrid all round, really.
I’ve changed stuff up with Walker from the party bag. Gone with starting 5212 with Hakimi moving to CB on 7 Chem, ESR in the club and on 8 Chem and Walker in at RWB.
They switch to CDM Hakimi, RB Walker and CAM ESR, with Ben Yedder now at LM in place of Allessandrini, and I’m scoring for fun. ESR has 7 in 6, and Hakimi is brilliant at CDM. I’m looser at the back, his M/H being a reason, but he gives so much in progressing the ball out from deep.

I've decided to start again.Well, or to be precise, run a second 'no buying anything from the transfer market' account, while still keeping the first for when I fancy dipping back in for that. The TOTY opening while fun utterly killed the grind. I don't need or want any of the SBC or objective players, so there's very little to play for. Been itching to do a no transfer market game for ages so figured I may as well try now.
Quick question, can I link a Twitch account to two PS accounts? Or is that not possible/would cause problems with things like Twitch Prime rewards?
Upgraded heroes on the way apparently and some “captain” thing.
@Yev I believe you can only link 1 Twitch account to 1 EA account. It'd cause problems with drops/rewards from streams otherwise.

Didn't see the thing about bugged rewards until after I'd claimed mine. That's going to be a nightmare to unpack for EA. If people have managed to open unlimited packs and then use the results to do SBCs and things too it'll be a nightmare.

He's not a LB - got to play him in midfield. I had him there and then Mendy at LM and switched them in game.
btw - if anyone has any ST -> CF or CAM -> CM cards they're selling for 5k a piece. I just made about 100k in 1 minute

Speaking as someone who has played for all of a week, but how in gods name is anyone supposed to keep up with all of these SBCs?

TOTY and this have been mega content to be fair to EA so we are in an extreme. I haven’t touched most of these SBCs recently though, even if some do trigger some FOMO.
In theory there are three sets of rewards a week for people to get, coins/fodder do come by quickly with games played.
M/M is even shitter than ever this year though.
Not just TM, it’s the whole game. Fair play.
