Right, plan for the shit account is to save anything 84+ (and 83+x20), with everything 83x10 and under opened on a daily basis. My club is stacked with high rated golds (have 15 89+ cards) so any and all dupes go into the exchange tab until we get to the full team + HM in packs where everything gets opened and we pick an SBC to do.
Hoping to have about 100+ packs saved that fit the above description by the time HM's comes round. Think I'm on about 60 odd now.
Just checked and i have over 700 players in ny club. What is the SBC method to get rid of the players and thrown them into SBCs.?

Do the daily bronze, silver and gold upgrades with all of your bronze and silvers first.
Remaining bronze and silvers into league SBC's where applicable and then into the Premium bronze and silver upgrades.
Golds 80 rated and below into league SBC's, with any off league ones into the 81+ double upgrade, or where you absolutely have to the standard gold upgrade.
Save 81's for the 82 rated TOTW upgrade segment.
Do the 83x10 upgrades first (as they give you more bang for your buck if you need to open one) then the 84x5
Dupe high rated cards into the exchange upgrade or whatever player SBC you're doing.

Other thing to bear in mind with rinsing fodder is that there's league upgrades coming soon, so keep your major league cards

Haha, they do sometimes (for other events) but never have during TOTY. What they did do last year was shrink the size of the pack you got back for submitting 11 rares, which was a bit scummy.
What I am curious about is how they'll handle the MLS (given the lack of rare golds) and maybe to a lesser extent the Women's leagues, so that may cause a change this year.

It’s unlikely but you never know. I’ve been keeping a keen eye on the pack odds in store to try and marry those against what I’m holding and for comparison the chances of packing a TOTY while attackers were in packs was less than 1% from an 85+ x7. Now it’ll be better than once the full team are in packs but there’s genuinely no amount of packs that guarantees anything.
I opened thousands in 2022 and I got 14 TOTY’s but not a single midfielder or attacker in that. Nick28t opened over 2,000 in FIFA23 and got nothing. A mate of my nephew (who barely played the game) opened an 81+ double from a single bronze card and out came Messi.

What I would say and this is only anecdotal (from about 10,000 packs over the last 3/4 years), you have a better chance of packing one the earlier in the week it is (of the full team being in packs) and the later into the evening/earlier in the day it is. 2am to 2pm seems much better than 2pm to 2am. Of course you could just open them when you want, get lucky and pack one anyway. Many people will.
You just have to hope for the best. There are double the amount of TOTYs now with the womens game. Still a slim chance compared to the whole player base.
I was thinking to myself how they actually structure these promos. I'm assuming they have something like a proportional # of each card which can be active in the game at one time (like only 10,000 TOTY Mbappe) and then you have to think how they structure the handouts in regards to packs. It says it's a flat percent chance, but like you say it feels like there's an easier shot earlier in the promo for some reason, even though proportionally there are more packs are being opened. I wonder if that then goes back to the # active cards at that point.
Similarly I think they rotate through slots in things like Icon SBCs with a chance for different players from the pool.
Would be super interesting to find out but it's likely impossible to know unless someone spills the beans, and then they'll get lawyered to death.

I thought it was only 4 rares, but it's 11 players with 4 rares. Absolutely banging.
Pulled the above together, which is rares by category broken down. It'll need updating for the 12th player (well, at least the Woman's one) and the HM. Some observations:
Once the 12th player and HM's are in there might not be that many 89 players left, which will make the exchange and higher rated player SBC squads quite hard to do.
If you want to pack one the EPL is definitely the way to go, but chances are you're going to get a keeper or Bright.
La Liga looks best for fodder, but good luck packing one of the midfielders or forwards.

Checking, the winter wildcard crafting upgrade. 11 commons for 3 rares. Is that good value? It expires in 2 days and i can do it another 148 times.

Every year, TOTY is when I get the regret of not starting and prepping so I could get involved. This year is no different.
Yeah, i may do that. Trying to remember the off leagues, and what cards to put into premium league sbc etc.
It's so good and I'm pretty sure this is the best year they've done of it so far. The grind is unreal.
Write a list of them out and have it to hand, you'll remember it in no time but until then it'll help hugely.

Never been a fan of that as I've always ended up having to substitute out loads of players for either others that I already have or those that have price spiked and there's a cheaper alternative.
Also in concepts if a player moves clubs, it does not give you the matching player from concepts.
Once Sawa comes out, ill throw stuff at her and then open packs on friday morning.
What I did realise last night which was a bit of a kicker (cannot believe it took me so long) is that rather than type a list out of dupes on your tradepile or take photos of it you can just open the web app, leave it on the tradepile page and browse through it at your leisure when you're back in the game.

Indeed. I was kicking myself big time that I hadn't realised sooner you could do it. Pissed through 50 duplicate bronzes into the daily gold upgrades last night.
It really isn't too late to start either. There's a wealth of packs available on a new account. I'd deliberately left the foundation SBC's until TOTY and did them last night, which gives such a decent haul of packs for sod all investment. Pack an 89 from any of them and that's another 51 players to keep the grind going from the exchange SBC's.
I haven't even been trying to save packs and I have 225 ready to open. That's from basically just playing the game here and there and chipping away at some of the easy objectives and SBCs.
I'd genuinely put this up the top in terms of UT - been very enjoyable so far.
When is The Day? Is it Friday when all the team is in packs?
