Looks like Ratcliffe/Ineos are going hard to buy United.

I know all billionaires are bastards, but this seems about the least bastard ownership we could realistically end up with so fingers crossed.

From what I’ve heard working at ineos is unpleasant, so would be interested to see whether he’s equally ruthless if it does go through. Can imagine there’s a lot of “jobs” that he would baulk at.

One day Wolves won’t play 3 defensive minded midfielders in the middle together. So boring. Left back out wide too and the most defensive striker going.

Pressing has been much better today. Bajcetic impressing me a lot. He got bullied by De Bruyne a few weeks back and has bounced back very well from it.

I just wish they'd try and string a few more passes together instead of lumping it. The goal came from playing it out and taking a risk or two.

    .
Yeah it’s amazing what having a younger team can do in terms of legs. Elliott looks a lot better on the left wing as well, he’s nowhere near ready to play in central midfield at the minute.

Any of you Liverpool lot know much about Jake Cain? Our second perm signing from your lot following Tom Clayton in the summer. Heard good things, and if he's anywhere near as decent as Clayton, we'll be laughing.

If you neutralise the respective physical attributes, I reckon there are likely several TTHers better at the game than Adama Traore.

Pretty pathetic effort from Wolves all told. Liverpool looked absolutely bang average and they played scared the majority of it. No idea why as they looked good in the 1st game.

Liverpool in control, if not unspectacularly so, right up until the Liverpool subs.

Taking Bajcetic and Thiago off to move Elliott into the midfield completely opened it up to Wolves.

Allison chucked one in and their other goal was a bizarre deflection. For all their 'looking good' they were pretty toothless in that game as well, they just didn't scab any goals today.

    Just left Albion - Chesterfield.

    1) I’m so fucking cold.
    2) That Jake Livermore had an extended period in the England team is beyond belief. Wouldn’t say it to his face though. Big boy.

He was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for two years and was banned from attending any venue where a sporting fixture is being held in England and Wales for two years.
This guy's going to prison for this then?

Was it a triple save or was the last one just an incredible miss? Doesn't look like his hand is near it. Possibly the greatest miss of all time.

The Hawthorns is pretty open isn't it? I think the coldest I've been is United u21s v Someone at Hyde. My feet came out as ice blocks for a meaningless 90 minutes.

I've just been talking with someone at work about the population becoming less intelligent due to not having to work/think for things these days. And then I read about this idiot admitting he did the prank and will now go to prison, all just to stay relevant on YouTube.

They were in your box often enough in the last match, hadn't registered a shot on target by the hour mark this time round.

Edit: just checked the stats for the first game, Wolves 5 shots on target at Anfield = scabbed a goal

Well, at least one of those shots was the open goal Allison offered up, and the other goal went defender clearance, into attackers arse, under Allison's arse, which I guess counts as another shot, so I'm not sure of the merit of that state in isolation. My point wa more that it wasn't like they missed loads of gilt edged chances (and in fact came into the game with the pundits going on about how goal shy they were generally). They played well enough tee to green, and were unlucky to have their 'winner' chalked off, but the other goals were fairly fortunate to say the least. They just reverted to the mean yesterday in the absence of gifts.

Fair play to Ten Haag. He’s got Man Utd back to that Ferguson period of winning whilst doing a whole load of nothing during the game.

Weghorst looks like he should play for Burnley
