Listen, lad, I've let you get away with some shit over the years - APPROPRIATING "avin' a piss" being the tip of the iceberg - don't start talking shit about Stephen Graham. I will find you.

The worst accent ever, of serious attempts (Dick van Dyke etc need not apply), was Pierce Brosnan doing an Irish accent in Taffin, which is pretty ace from him.

Fittingly as we talk about silly accents: I watched Russell-Crowe-doing-Italian vehicle The Pope's Exorcist last night. It's not good, obviously, but I did have a lot of fun watching it and it looked like Crowe was having a good time as well.

Pope's Exorcist has 49% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes and 81% for fan scores, which tells you the sort of thing it is. Those sorts of discrepancies usually point to something which is bollocks but a good laugh.

I watched The Running Man last night. It's not one of Arnie's classics, but I had no idea/recollection that Mick Fleetwood is in it. And credit to the make up people who made '2017' Mick Fleetwood in the film actually look quite a lot like Mick Fleetwood does now.

It wouldn't come close to threatening his top 5 for me.

The action in it is just okay and it doesn't have a classic one-liner in it either.

It's alright, because it's Arnie, but no more than that. (Obviously it gets some bonus points for also having Jesse Venture chewing lots of scenery.)

Have you seen his action back catalogue? Comfortably shits on the likes of End of Days, Eraser and The 6th Day, never mind the modern efforts.

If your bar for a classic is that it's better than The 6th Day then you're gonna shit your pants when you learn about a bunch of other films that exist. You're in for a treat.

I watched Total Recall for the first time last night. It was one of the worst films I've ever seen. Slight hyperbole because I've seen some absolute stinkers but in terms of 'Culturally relevant and successful films' it was fucking abysmal.

The Arnie one? Probably a stupid question actually, I don't think anybody's called the Colin Farrell one culturally relevant.

What you want is Scottish Total Recall.

Yeah. Some guys eyes exploded in the first 10 minutes and I spent the next 90 wishing I was that guy. Total Recall, more like Total Dog Shit.

Why does Timothee Chalamet keep getting miscast in very good roles. I’ve not seen it but he seems like a terrible pick for Wonka and now I’ve read he’s playing Bob Dylan. Should be the bloke from The Bear, let’s be honest.

I watched Maestro the other day. It's pretty boring and self-indulgent, and was seemingly made solely to win himself an Oscar (if he doesn't Carey Mulligan will); but for all the shite about Jewing up with a fake nose the make-up is incredible, particularly in the scenes where he's older.

I watched the 1991 Scorcese version of Cape Fear last night. Not the most festive watch but it was on iPlayer and it's one of the more notable films from all involved that I've yet to see. It was quite good. It got a bit daft at times but I enjoyed it. 7/10 I would I say.

I can't think of another occasion where I've seen De Niro commit to an accent. I'm sure other examples must exist but off the top of my head I'm struggling to think of any, he just sounds like De Niro usually. So seeing/hearing him do some sort of psychopathic take on a Southern gentleman was interesting.

I've also never seen the original either so it was one of those "oh...." moments of clarity when I quickly realised that whole, particular Sideshow Bob episode of The Simpsons is basically entirely based on it.

Took the kids to see Wonka a couple days ago. It's actually alright, however Timothy just doesn't quite have it.

They did well with the look of him, but there's just nothing behind the eyes. It's hard to describe but you can clearly tell he's reading lines from a script. He also doesn't seem like he's great singer.

Far From Home. Wasn't sure which number it was.

Mainly seems to be an iron man crossover rather than avengers (I'm presuming he's dead, missed all that).
