How is it that the NBA is the only one that does All-Star Weekend right?

I know the Dunk contest has lost some of it's glamour but the NFL version seems to involve people playing dodgeball in a local park.

The NFL one is absolute horseshit.

Mindless 'skill' games and then the most watered down version of a game.

They'd be better just making the game a flag football match.

They should just make it an awards team and forget the whole weekend and game.

That said, the Pro Bowl game has the advantage of still being a better spectacle than basketball.

Mahows just hating because Jarvis Landry is a more accurate passer than Jackson.

Jackson looked every bit the running back during that one.

Atwater has finally made it into the HOF.

    Full list is:

Safety Steve Atwater, wide receiver Isaac Bruce, guard Steve Hutchinson, running back Edgerrin James and safety Troy Polamalu.

Only the second unanimous MVP (Brady 2010 the first) which is pretty cool.

Also, lol at Cam Newton. He had about double the social media 'interactions' for Man of the Year than anyone else and still lost.

The Madden twitter is up in arms because Cam wont be getting a new card.

I wish they'd do the awards closer to the end of the regular season. It was clearly Jackson and now it feels a little soured because of the play-off crash out.

    Also, fuck Cam.

Atwater was a bit before my time but it's always nice to see another Bronco in.

And speaking of Denver, saw a thing with Arthur Blank saying he reckons Falcons / Broncos is a goer in London this year so I guess I'd best start saving my pennies.

I think the Packers are over this year but for the sake of a few extra hours on the plane it would probably be easier to try go to Lambeau for a game. I think the Wembley atmosphere is supposed to be really odd too.

A few extra hours and a shedload more cash, mind.

Probably stretching the legitimate use of the word few as well.

The 'atmosphere' at any NFL game is going to be largely gak.

I’d rather support for one team one way or the other though rather than fans of 32 teams all in a stadium at the one time and 75% of them not having a clue what’s going on.

Plus there’s the stadium tour, Packers hall of fame, etc. It’s Lambeau.

It is odd. Considering one team is supposed to be the home team too. One of the games at Wembley this year had the support all the other way around too. Got to be frustrating for the players.

When they had one at Twickenham we were sat next to a couple who had season tickets for Twickenham itself. They'd never seen a snap before but came along as their ticket is already bought. They left after the 1st quarter.

If you don't take it too seriously it's great, but there's obviously no comparison to going out there. Especially to somewhere like Lambeau.

Yeah of you take it as a fun day out with some gridiron then it's good bit it's not like going to actually see your team in their stadium.

Couple of times I've been we've been sat in amongst some good people and it's been fun.

Hope kc do it tonight. Although I don’t dislike the 49ers, kc deserve it for the last 2 seasons.

Funny if Brady leaves the patriots and jimmy g winds up super bowl MVP.

There’s so much offence available tonight, got to hope it shines unlike last years defensive shit storm.

    Do they fuck.

I hope they lose because the have so many twats and the media wankathon over MVPAT will be unbearable.

I'm hoping Mostert drives the bus right through the pricks.

    Also:

£2.50 on Mostert first TD scorer & Niners win
£2.50 on Mostert 1+ TD in each half
    £10 on Moster 100+ rushing yards & 1+ TD.

    This.

The Broncos gave us mercy from Cam Newton, we must be saved again by the NFC.

I'm pretty sure that they still don't support PS4 Europe or Amazon's Fire Stick.

They didn't last season at least.

Yeah we've switched over. But long as I've got BBC on there's more chance that they have the thoughts of Martin O'Neill or some cunt from JLS or something on.

Fortunately I don't think they do that for the Super Bowl. Largely because your fairweather UK celebrity fan isn't going to fly over to watch.

Yeah, this is the issue I have - the BBC coverage is reliable, and looks to be about 15-20 seconds ahead of where GamePass has come back, but then every break you get the BBC NFL squad & Mike explaining what play action is, and I'd rather watch the adverts.

Mahomes would have pitched it had Tartt tried to tackle him but he should have hit him.

A pitch can always result in a fumble or something.

Not sure what the logic is in just voluntarily surrendering a 2min drill against the chiefs but okay.
