Merry Christmas folks. I've got a nice balvennie as a gift which will be opened today.

Going to try and get to the München place for a pre dinner pint as well. Have a great day!

We do seem to be back full circle on that one, in so much as what does one do with that information at this point in time?

Merry Christmas boys. I'm at a carvery buffet for lunch so the aim is to leave the hotel at a net loss for the day to teach them a lesson.

Bit of a shitter in that my nan is ill, but at least I can drink now as I don't have to drive her back. Should make my sister's father-in-law slagging off Sadiq Khan more bearable.

me and my mum are "doing a @Jimmy Floyd" and fucking off the traditional Christmas dinner. I'm incompetent at roasts, and she had to do about three massive ones at work (one thanksgiving dinner and two Christmas dinners) for the snotty kids at her school, so she really didn't fancy making another one just for the two of us. I suggested an Indian feast and she was like yeah sound why not.

I'm currently simmering the base for the prawn curry (onion, garlic, ginger, coriander, green chilies, tinned toms, stock, cashews, garam masala, ground coriander, ground cumin), and will also be on palak paneer duties. she's doing her usual cauliflower and aubergine curry later, along with homemade bhajis and some kinda cod kebab thing. gonna make some kind of rice dish and fry off some onion parathas too. I'm a staunch defender of the roast dinner but for one year it'll make a nice change.

My mum's partner is 77 and we were meant to be there today, hence doing a test. Wouldn't have bothered had I not already been feeling a bit shit.

Nobody "really likes" turkey. I know you like to be contrarian, but let's not lie on our Lords birthday. Turkey is fine, no more, no less.

American's are a bit weird with turkey. They seem to like it a lot.

I quite like it, I'll have turkey breast (oioi) steaks now and then in the year and I'll buy roast turkey slices from the butcher (which are seriously good tbf) but that's about it.

My mother asked me why my cousin has bought her eleven year old a bra, shows me the picture, and it's one of those tracking vests that footballers wear. As far as I'm aware he doesn't play to any sort of worthwhile level, so a bra might have been less embarrassing.

Pork is best, followed by beef and lamb. Taz's favourite meat is next.

However, lamb burgers are the best burgers, so why do you hardly ever see them on menus?
