If doing it all online means struggling to find trainers that don't have a brown sole I'll stick to buying my shoes from a person in a shop.

Went into the Levi shop yesterday, so much better in store.

Ended up with a pair of 511’s which I don’t think I’d went for online looking at them. The fit is incredible

Checked online and bought another pair at 40% off too so win win all round.

You could also get your name stitched into them online, just so everyone knows how to address said ‘roaster’.

They look not bad value I always thought they'd be way too expensive.

Unless you're cheating on the Mrs or planning to, then there's little point in spending that kind of money on an item of clothing.

I tried an XXL Superdry jacket on today and it was like a children's one. I thought they actually were a Japanese company, which would have explained it, but no.

Their SUPERDRY kit that has the logo everywhere is cringe and is being adopted by middle aged people but the subtle stuff is actually really good quality and can be had at a great price in the sales.

I have a few Superdry tshirts and jumpers and you're right, the quality is great. You wouldn't know it was Superdry either by looking at it, just a subtle tag at the bottom.

Their stuff with the ridiculous over the top branding is awful.

Anything like that is. Worst being Henley’s (or HNLYS PRJCT, or whatever it is.) Similarly, Hollister stuff is amazing quality, but the branding is over the top.

I wear plain tshirts 90% of the time.

Went to get a pair of those Deerupt trainers Adidas have started doing this morning but they feel horrendously cheap. There's a sort of netting over the whole shoe that feels like those little nets you used to get for washing machine tablets and there's some half obscured writing beneath it that makes them look like the whole net idea was a last minute addition. Not at all good trainers. Only eighty quid, but still.

@SincereTheRebel this is why I still go into shops.

Interesting because I quite fancy the red/blue/white pair. Probably won't bother now.

They don't even look good up close. From the advert and the pictures I'd seen I thought the white pattern on the pair you refer to was stitched, but it's a net that's only connected at the sole and the ankle, so it doesn't look at all good and it'd get caught incredibly easily. Complete shit.

I bought the Pharrell ones instead, both much nicer and much more comfortable.

I think a lot of adidas trainers look a bit too smart now. I like my trainers to look like they're plausibly something you'd actually wear to do sport in. Not like nasty running shoes that old fellas at spoons seem to pair up with cheap suits, but somewhere in between.

Reebok stuff is horrible. All of it.

For the record, those things Baz has posted in the FM thread are the childrens' version of the worst available colour scheme.

I was looking at the plain white ones. Or at least they appeared to be plain white until I picked them up in store and saw the concealed writing and a black block along the inside of the sole.
