It’s a perfect chance to test Lewis’ car tomorrow. As it is he’ll struggle to reach points. Might as well change parts and pit lane start it.

Schumacher's smash looked gnarly. I haven't seen a car look so shredded. Even the T-cam was hanging off. I'd be amazed if he's cleared to race.
Hospitalised overnight. No chance he’ll race.
They've already withdrawn him, no replacement so I assume the car couldn't be repaired either.
Stop getting Bond wrong!
There is zero of that car that's being saved. Which will also probably impact Haas again further into the season.
Yuki conking out there completes the set for Red Bull Powertrains inside 2 races.
Kind of weird considering it's still the same Honda as last year and they were reliable.
Minimum 2 red flags.
I actually checked Bet365 for red flag during the race but couldn't find it. Safety car is 1/6 which is free money.
I’d be betting on that. It absolutely will happen.
Isn't safety car a guarantee in any race with Latifi on the grid?
Get Latifi out of this sport. He seems like a lovely guy but he’s nowhere near good enough.
Also fucked Perez in the process.
Who put the bet on then?
Just put my safety car money on Max. 5/2 is too good.
A Haas overtaking a Merc
Verstappen is such a clipe
I love the helmet cam.
The fuck? Three retirements in about 60 seconds.
Perhaps these cars do not like the heat.
Why would you not put softs on Hamilton considering he only had 9 laps left.
This is the stupidest race track ever conceived.
Something needs to be done about these DRS detection lines. It’s borderline dangerous the way they are playing cat and mouse with it.
Lol.
I really don’t understand the VSC. Verstappen wasn’t getting close to him before it.
What a race. These cars are great.
I hope this fight between Max and Leclerc keeps up.
Mad race
Leclerc is the nicest bloke in the world
Class race. I know the track is mental and overly dangerous, but it has the best broadcast cameras for really conveying the speed of the cars through the corners.
The new cars are really shining too, lots of overtakes and close running. Shame we have to wait 2 weeks for Melbourne now.
Already bored of night street races, give me sunshine and grass please.
I love the track. Always one of the more entertaining watches.
The Alonso/Ocon stuff at the beginning was so good. I’m loving this multi lap racing that seems to be happening.
Maybe they need a system where you can only get DRS off cars you are behind at the beginning of a lap [so no DRS if you get passed just prior to the detection point] but I don't know how automated the system is and how likely that would be to be workable.
These cars do seem to be quite good at following each other closely, so it'll be good to see what they are like when they get to some actual racetracks.
Bit disappointed with the promise of 'high deg' only for the cars to seemingly be able to do a full race on the hards with no real issue.
They said when these regulations were first proposed that DRS could hopefully be eliminated if it was proven the cars could race well enough authentically. Maybe that’s close now, I’d certainly support a couple of trial races.
Yeah DRS needs to go in my opinion. Feels like it just takes away the actual racing aspect and it's only there for artifically creating the spectacle.
At the same time, ditching it this season doesn't feel like a fair thing to do. Like how they introduced sprint races at a handful of circuits.
They should seek to make the aero rules incrementally tougher for each of the next three seasons, i.e. keep forcing the teams to find downforce elsewhere and improve the wake situation. Only needs to be a 5-10% penalty each season. Then they can start looking to get rid of DRS. I think at the moment, removing it would be too soon.
They just need to move the lines about a bit so it's not as powerful as it was yesterday.
Mosley went out like Hitler
Hope it was right at the end of an orgy.
Best way to go at that stage.
Vegas is official from next season. A Saturday night race, what the fuck.
The track layout looks amazing.
That’s going to be class.
