I fucking hate fifa. I just have no idea how to defend. How come whatever mope I play against in div 6 makes like 3 passes from kickoff and they have like 4 attacking players against my back 4, whereas they always seem to have about 50 players behind the ball? I've been crap since they changed defending but now I think I'm just done. I try to do the thing of controlling the midfielders and running back with them but that doesnt do shit either. Grumble grumble.

L2+R2 defending is the way to go this year and just trying to run into the man/make an interception.
Tackling is too broken and punishing if you get wrong.

Started on the Ndombele objectives, which are actually pleasant in Division 9. Just need to work out how I can gerrymander it so I stay there.

It punishes you for actually attempting to win the ball, you're largely forced into trying to make your opponent make a mistake.
Tackling. You can time it seemingly perfectly and the ball will just bounce straight back to your opponent. If that were a rare occurrence then fine, but it happens all too often.
Its two fays old and I just don't have the energy to buy it.

I don't remember the last time (has to be FIFA 15 or earlier) that I scored a goal directly from a cross.
Also Lewandowski is really good. Played two World Class SBs with him and he's scored two in each. The first he came on after 55 minutes and in the second he started on 4 chemistry.
I hear career mode is a horrific shitshow at the minute.
Hearing good things about gameplay so far. Though after the state '19 got into that may not be hard.
It's a lot more enjoyable to play although crossing/headers are completely dead which is a bit annoying as there are objectives for them (for OTW Ndombele you need to score from crosses in 3 Squad battles games and Silver weekly is one cross/header).
The only bad bits in the gameplay right now is that you're punished for going for tackles because if you miss your defence is fucked, if you succeed the ball could go anywhere. Also too many rebound goals right now.

I imagine the open ones yeah. The friendly modes are nonsense but king of the hill farming against the AI for objectives might be nice.
During the early access/web app opening I bought quite a few SBC league silvers for 200 (largely for the objective) and I just sold one for 6k.

Just packed Fabinho from that shitty Pulisic SBC. He goes for nearly 80k, which is fucking tempting. That'll keep me in bronze packs for ages.
I'd sell him as he will go down in price.
Being a non-walkout he will get packed quite a bit and you can get Rodri for (30-35, will be less when his base card is in packs again) who isn't that much worse or even Fernandinho who is a better than both:
