System checks for offside, ref's call on whether he was active.

Did "Chappers" really say that Messi's goal was one of the moments of the tournament so far?

The fawning over it across the board is unreal.

Have their been many "moments"? Maybe Wilson squaring it to Grealish for 6, that was pretty special.

The Saudi's second against Argentina and .... that might be it?

    Ah, let's be fair:

The inflatable cock World Cup they bring in for every game, the VAR chaos in the opener and the failed countdown.

Martinez is doing a Southgate here to some extent. Salivating at the prospect of a 0-0 to take through to the Croatia game. Tournament Football.

Does this group match up with the Spain/Germany group in the last 16? Can't see anyone out of this group progressing through that.

Morocco deserve that. They've had a go at this second half. Zero interest from the Belgians.

Was it since the champions league final when he single handily won it for Madrid. Sickening.

Belgium team feels very much like the creaking final moments of an ailing empire, albeit one that never accomplished fuck all in the first place. I imagine they'll have a new coach and at least 5 new players in their stating XI at euro 24, assuming they get past Austria and Sweden in qualifying.

Putting six years of their peak in the hands of Roberto Martinez is about as lol as you can get and a major factor.

Tho, more realistically, with the new format they'll probably end up qualifying for being 6th best side in nations league conference D, then qualify for the second round in Germany by being one of the best runners up after drawing 0-0 with Iceland, Romania and Scotland. Witsel starting every game.

Finishing 3rd at the last world cup is probably the best they could have hoped for. Golden Generation and all that. Not a complete failure given you only have four opportunities

Yeah, need to beat Croatia now unless Morocco lose heavily to Canada. Hopefully Canada win though and it’s a proper shootout in the final games. Be winner takes all in both games

That was another up-off-the-sofa moment. Such a good goal and more reward for a team that actually comes out and plays.

I was convinced it was going to get chalked off for an armpit offside on the halfway line from the initial clearance.

Canada's defence looks as shakey as one would expect when you look at the shite they got after the BLM four up top. Orsic and Petkovic will bring this home off the bench.

I think he's in contention for best LB in the world. For Bayern he basically enables them to play an extra attacker since he's so fast that he can push forward much more without risking as much defensively.

Interesting point on comms about the Nations League. From a European perspective, think it's limited the outlook of several teams as they are never playing against diverse approaches and styles anymore.
