The Man in the High Castle is back. It's been that long since season two finished that I've forgotten what was going on. I seem to remember thinking the end of season two would have been a fitting end for the entire thing at the time, too

I'll stick with it for a while though, I suppose. On the off chance Obergruppenfuhrer John Smith takes over the entire regime or something.

Season 2 was so much better than season 1 that I'm pretty sure I'm gonna give this one a chance too, but I'm the same, I can't remember shit.

I re-watched the last few episodes of series 2 a few weeks ago but there's a decent recap thing at the start of the first episode of 3 anyway.

Watched 4 so far and it's very good, but I might go back to watching weekly now as I'd rather watch shows that way and I watch fuck all else at the moment.

I always found the setting more interesting than the annoying main characters. The worst thing they could do is try to forge ahead with the weird time travel/alternate universe angle because at some point they're going to have to try and explain it and it will inevitably be terrible.

Yeah, I think all the German lads are ending up in the concrete of the lab now after the main guy's runner.

John Smith and the Japanese lads are what makes it, the 2 lead characters can get in the sea.

Agreed. John Smith basically is the lead now anyway, as far as I'm concerned.

He's in it loads. Comfortably the best series yet so far (3 to go).

For those starting High Castle season 3, I’d recommend this recap and explanation of how season 2s threads converged on each other at the end, as annoying as the narrator might be:

I've just started watching Mr Inbetween, an Australian thing about a debt collector. It's started fairly well, but I've been thrown massively by the fact that the girl he meets in the first episode isn't Lauren Cohan from Walking Dead. They could not look more alike.

Yes, I absolutely love the show. For my own personal taste, it now goes Wire, Sopranos, BCS for my fave tv dramas. Breaking Bad probably beaten to the final Champions League spot by Six Feet Under, to be a big contrary dickhead.

Better Call Saul is very much the superior show when compared to Breaking Bad. The character development is so far ahead it’s amazing it’s come from the same writing team.

I love it, but I don't think it's as good as Breaking Bad yet.

I thought this season was very good, and the finale was excellent. Spoiler just in case.

Breaking Bad beats BCS for me, not that they need to be compared. The arc of Walter appeals to me more than Saul. Both fucking amazing though.

I do think that's a huge part of what it boils down to. By about season 3 of BB I just didn't give the slightest fuck about anyone, except Mike and Jesse (ish). I enjoyed it despite not caring about the characters, whereas I'm proper invested in BCS's gang, hence (probably) why I enjoy it more.

It's fantastic, I'd not have it quite as good as BB but then I consider that the best drama I've seen.

More of Mike is the best thing about it. The episode 'Five-O' from season one remains my favourite.

Thing keeping it down a peg for me is I know the outcome for half the characters so it lacks tension

It was series 15 episode 1 according to Sky but All4 only goes upto season 1 episode 9.

    Netflix has cancelled Iron Fist

The second season was vastly improved and the cliffhanger had me really excited for a third season.

I'm just going through the slightly pedestrian Luke Cage 2. I wouldn't be surprised if Iron Fist turns up as a secondary character, do you think it's still worth my watching Iron Fist 2 if they're not continuing it? I've basically been spurred on by the imminent return of Daredevil.

I think it's definitely watchable, not up to par with Daredevil and Jessica Jones though obviously.

There are rumours that Iron Fist will still turn up in other shows or move to Disney's streaming platform. So it's not completely dead.

I not long finished Jessica Jones 2 and it was decent but not a patch on the first series. Ritter's still really good but it wasn't as compelling. Probably for a lack of villain as compelling as Kilgrave.

Yeah, exactly my problem with it. Kilgrave was absolutely brilliant in the first season.

I've seen who the villains are in Daredevil 3 so I'm really excited for it.

Yeah, the villains and the original storyline it's based on give it a lot of promise. The second season was a mixed bag but it's probably still the third best Marvel series they've done. And the second or third episode that starts on the rooftop with the Punisher might be the best Marvel episode they've done.

Iron Fist season two is pretty good so far (just watching it now). The annoying thing is that everyone tries to fight these eejits with fists rather than just shooting the shit out of them.
