Jumped back in earlier this week. Easily worked up to D1 on an unbeaten run from D4, felt good about my Fifa, liking my team, jump into Champs tonight... Fuck me, it's been tough. 1-3 so far. Might wait it out til Monday-Tuesday to play the rest of my games.
You've picked a hell of a weekend to dabble back into the WL there Merse! Though as an Arsenal fan there's a "free" Saka card for you to get yourself if you need more players.
The Dias packing leads me to think the time is running short on Ramos. He outmatches him in almost every way physically and defensively. Ramos is more agile but that's about it really.
A red pick Cancelo would be absolutely perfect from here. The new one has H/H instead of the H/M of the old, thus making the new one a perfect CM or the perfect LM in a 3-5-2.
My issue is that linking Mbappe in becomes a fair whack harder without really rejigging the full team about.
The prices on some of these cards is absurd
Bernardo and Bruno look like absolute bargains. Alisson and KDB are great prices too
There is serious temptation to claim the fodder packs right now and submit them to see if I can pull any of the Liverpool boys. Looking at these cards almost all Icons are pointless.
Bernardo looks like Messi with that dribbling boost. Alisson has fucking 91 pace!! Penandes has lost some special card pace but has become decent defensively to compensate. With a shadow becomes a great CM. Virgil shafted with the pace split. KDB given the opposite to Penandes and has some defence removed in favour of a smidge more pace and dribbling.
I've just got Saka done but in the packs afterwards annoyingly fat fingered it and accidentally opened the La Liga 81+ jumbo pack. Luckily for me that team has the least implications on my own, but it's still annoying.
Trent, Unnerstall and Mazaraou in my 84 x 25 pack.

His shooting is a little low, but Trent seems like a must move into CM kind of card.
Yeah if you can work it then it looks like his ideal. I probably wont even use him as I have Hakimi.

Yeah I've not heard great things on Gomez either yet. I also got Henry as the loan PIM in my PS+ pack but he feels horrible. They've not done him justice at all.
There is not a lot of other places to stick your fodder though.

This is pretty much as low as they’ll be now everyone has smashed all of their packs open, just a case of which one brings better/faster coin.
I can only think it's the pace and weak foot. The rest of the card is mega.

Gone in on 70 Kroos at ~19k a pop. Wont turf up any trees, but as long as he's 20k I make my money back.
Packs have been blasted harder than they will at any point in the cycle, apart from maybe TOTY and Ultimate TOTS. Last week he just dipped under 20k and rebounded out to 23k by Monday.
I'm banking on either they release a big Icon SBC tomorrow, big EPL SBC or just general market drying up.

You can get some as low as 18k, but didn't mind paying up around 19.5k.
Obviously the market is different than last year, but I looked into what happened then. There was meh community TOTS stuff last year, then the EPL started off okay before it hit a bang with some juiced cards coming. Last year for example, Kroos hit 28k during this same day and then was back up over 40k just over a week later.
The gamble I'm making is that I can get by in WL for another week without buying for the team.
Yeah I see him around 19.5 as a standard, so I am mass bidding around 18.5k and will see how it goes.
Easy to pop in 50 bids on the laptop.

After seeing that Kane and hearing great things about Dele Alli I decided to pop an 84 x 25 pack to double dip. Got me a Rice, Sangare and Unnerstall as well as some great fodder.
Seeing that made me roll the dice on the 85+ x 20. Unfortunately only Rodri and Haller in that one.
I do have Alli done for those cards though.

I have a great defence and midfield for it, but only gold Cavani as 2nd striker and regular Trent at RB. I'd been using Dias in the Saka mode and he feels mega in the tackle. He has some extra presence over Ramos, but you do feel that top tier agility not being there.

Well, I'll be putting the difficulty up. Thumped Chelsea 5-0 (all goals in the second half) on Semi-Pro.
Ripped my 85+x20 pack:
- TOTS Ruben Dias, Kokcu, Mazraoui and Sinisterra
- 1 IF
- Only two dupes in total (Donnarumma and Schmeichel)
I went with an Engine on him, makes his passing perfect, minus free kicks, and his dribbling pretty much high 90's.
Boy does he feel big in game. Now my midfielder of choice is usually a 5"8-5"10 kind of guy, nice and agile, but perhaps lacking physically. He really does not. He is also very silky for a man of his size. Now he will not feel like Bernardo Silva will, but you aren't pushing anyone off the ball with Bernardo.
Another big one for me is, I'm used to having used Cali, Lahm and Tonali, all of whom have high defensive work rates. Dele does like to push on with the attack, but it does also pop him up in some great positions.
@Danny question for mass investing like this. In my situation do you just hold the cards now and wait for the price to go up, then list en masse? Or do you start listing hoping for lazy buyers?
I've made myself something of a shopping list. I would like to add in TOTS Trent, Silva, Jota and TOTY Cancelo. That came to about bang on my coin total before investment and should go down as we move into the early week.
Even in the worst possible red pick situation here I'm in good shape too. I'm assuming there'll be a lot of Alisson, Rodri and Rice on offer. All I need is one of those to be different.
I have them up at 23/24k now. Just hoping for a nibble. I ended up with around 44 ~18.5k
