The country is decades away from being capable of supporting everyone having a non-ICE car. The ban won't happen in 2030.

Fair enough. It'll be backtracked to allow hybrids as some sort of compromise. Probably.

Exactly, like I would apply for a SOuthampton or something because frankly they're a perfectly banal second team to have but my job would be actively rooting against what I've been for 25 years and I just can't do it.

I know someone at Chelsea - he was playing on their pitch the other day and hanging out with Cech

My brother in law became an inter fan after working there for a few years. It converted us all to have a soft spot and the free tickets helped. He's now at the evil giant FIFA and annoyingly the first world cup he's there is for Qatar. Hopefully he sticks around for the next one so I can bash Pepe.

Also giggles take on climate change is hilarious. If it was so profitable, the oil and gas companies wouldn't be fighting so hard to pretend it isn't real and lobbying government's to change slower.

I mean, I don't agree with Giggles' take on Global Warming but Shell etc are investing in green energy. They just want to delay the change because fossil fuels are their proven earner.

Rewind 30 years and Fax Machine manufacturers would have been saying the same shit about emails.

The thing is that environmentalism and not wanting to fuck up the planet clearly originated from grassroots movements of hippy losers like my parents & has been backed up by about 99.9% of actual climate scientists. Are big businesses trying to latch onto it and make ŁŁŁŁŁ from it? Of course they are. They always do. Elon Musk is a twat, but him trying to sell his stupid car shouldn't make you then think environmentalism is inherently bollocks. I hate the way pride has been hijacked by corporate interests, but it doesn't make me go "Ha! McDonalds has a pride flag on its twitter! I knew the gays weren't to be trusted", because I'm not an idiot.

Just finished my shift. Was counting the bars intake when a 12 man brawl broke out. Was holding around 400 quid in tens as I attempted and failed to seperate these men beating each other senseless and not one of them was smart enough to just grab the money and run.

Our drunks need to do better.

I don't like to criticise people who may well be dyslexic or just not that great at spelling, but I just had a customer end his email with: "Menney thanks, Tony."

Surely that must be a piss take?

Is dyslexia a thing though? Or is it just another excuse for a low level of intelligence?

There is a theory that it's sort of the opposite, and that it's just above average intelligence people who happen to be a bit shit at words. After all, why should reading and writing come any more naturally to people than music or maths or anything else that plenty of intelligent people suck shit at? It's just that the fully thick people then fall under 'thicko' rather than needing an explanation.

It's definitely a thing, and it's probably as hard for 'normal people' to understand it as it is for the afflicted to deal with whatever they struggle with.

I have a mate with Dyspraxia and its definitely the most lol of these conditions. His best efforts so far have been:

    1) walking into his room with a drink and his phone, putting his phone down on the coaster and throwing his drink on the bed.

    2) hearing his phone ring and answering it by picking up his mouse and putting it to his ear.

    3) trying to hold a door open for someone, having his depth perception completely fail, and grabbing the blokes cock instead.

    Good times.

Funny I should cite a mis-spelled email yesterday. Today it was announced one of the big bosses' (80 years old) wife had died. Very sad etc. In came the first inappropriate reply-all email tribute, from the Arab:

Sorry to hear this sad news
    May God bless her sole
Next up it was a random, and quite junior, US employee:

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
The bold bit was highlighted in yellow.

    Christ.

We have had two guys die in the past couple of weeks. The most recent, a young guy who was knocked off his motorbike over the weekend was announced to us all yesterday morning, in which not one, but two, people Replied All saying "they hope he's ok" in a clear admission they don't know what "fatal" means.

It could have been worded 'xxx has been involved in a fatal accident', which doesn't confirm entirely that its fatality was bestowed upon him.

It really is beyond belief how useless our medical staffing/payroll are.

I've finally managed to pay back the first time they double paid me. The second time got raised against my assignment number last month so I thought all was looking promising. Then this month it's disappeared again and they've paid me an additional Ł515 in pension arrears which I'm certain I'm not due. What I suspect they've done is put the amount through they meant to deduct against the overpayment as a rebate instead.

    Omni. Fucking. Shambles.

I'd play dumb and pretend I didn't know they've done it. You can't when it's an obvious double payment into your bank, but you could easily miss an inflated pension payment.

Why? It'll get caught eventually, and then you'll have to pay it back.

The double payment was probably less obvious tbh, I was only keeping an eye out because they'd done it before.

It got put in on a random day in the middle of the month (pay day is the 25th or nearest Friday) under an assignment number they promised me had been closed.

They are just retards, it's unbelievable. They set the bailiffs on a load of staff last year for failure to repay money they had never even contacted them about.
