Lads, save it for the relationship thread yeah.

Now someone explain to me what the relevance of the Binance ban on UK users is to Mellin's venture. Are you getting this x125(/12,500%) leverage only once per account like the matched betting type scheme?

"The missus" and "my wife" are the same thing, right?

Do we really not have a TTH resident accountant / tax advisor? You'd surely expect a (formerly) FM board to have them in abundance.

Binance is the only reputable place that you can get leverage like that and they're doing away with it in May (unless you are a millionaire).

It's no longer relevant though, because he's changed course to an easier option due to having a better starting position.

For me it's less a case of needing permission and more a case of making sure I know I have mentioned it because you can be sure come the date she will think I'm free to do something interminable with the in laws and claim I never mentioned my plans.

What I'm not clear on is why he's giving us half of the profit. I get the profit structures are different, but in the betting world the margins are thin enough that something like this would be utter madness.

Are these markets this easy to beat? Why does someone who has an edge over markets as big as these need a couple of grand off his internet mates to get started? Is he just cutting us in because he's a legend?

He's doing it because he enjoys it and he's a top lad.

But also because he's only risking £100 of his own money, rather than £2000 of his own money.

If I thought I had the potential to turn 2 grand into a million then I'd probably fancy myself from the £100 starting point. Certainly if it means I'm not going to have to give six figures away when I get there.

It's a hell of alot more difficult starting with £100 though.

I’m cutting you in because I’m a legend and I need a hit. I have an account. I’ve slowed down on it because I really like gold long term, am in position and intend to hold and just add more size as it climbs. Easy now and needs zero attention. This started with just me and Offy chasing the dream on Binance and we thought we’d try and get a couple more people for £100. Did not expect this response, but going to roll with it as either way it will be great, but with a bit of luck and some will power it could be sensational.

Plus I’m getting 40% of a 2 grand+ account for £100, which is nice too.

This is the crux of it. If someone leaves then it will not effect your takings. What it will effect is the capital we have to invest. But one person going could be covered by one good trade in 15 minutes. What would be difficult is if 10 left at the same time, so try and spread it out when you want out boys.

£100 (at the stage of life that most of us now are) is a great amount for this, as it's enough to make something of if you know what you're doing (especially with 25 lots), but not enough that I'm going to miss it too badly, especially if there's an entertaining thread/ride to see it burn. For 100 smackers I'm willing to ignore James's logical chat and just give Mellin a thrill ride.

I wouldn't have been in for £500, for example.

I think alot of the doubt is just because most of you aren't in THE GROUP. He (we to an extent) have been playing with this stuff for more than a year. The rest of us got bored and just fucked it off, but Mellin has been experimenting and troubleshooting his approach for more than a year now. He's completely legit in what he's saying and being completely honest about his motivation.

This stuff is actually to Mellin, rather than baffling and scary as it should be. He is an autist of the highest functioning order.

This is all very interesting lads, but unfortunately all irrelevant as we have £2,120 in the bank with more to come and we’re going for it. You’re either in or you’re out. If you’re in, welcome to the party. If you’re out, STFU.

That’s a decent wedge and we can start tomorrow afternoon provided people aren’t going to be funny over a few quid from late entrants before the cut off. I’ll base the percentages off deposits rather than whatever the account is at on Thursday morning.

Play with the larger assets you're sound. Fuck with the lesser assets and you'll be twitching your arse permanently. Alts always bleed 2x or more compared to BTC, will forever be the way.

FYI that crude daily options contract I used as an example this morning is now worth 290. So from the example of £1,536 would now be worth £4,350. That is an increase of 320%.

Apply that move to £2,500 which we’re roughly going to start on and 5 trades = 2.5mil. This is what I mean about sharing the risk. Who wants to piss away 2.5k if that doesn’t land? But £100 and it does…

That was the original intention if you look at the OP, but I’m happy to realign sites for THE CAUSE. If we’re not getting anywhere fast we can consider going big then.
