It's almost like the cricket gods have written his script in these games. On about 30 he clothed one towards long off and turned away in disgust thinking he was caught, only for it to drop well short. Then of course he's there at the end.
I was very close to posting something along the lines of "Stokes needs to hit out or get out here" when we had that really stagnant few overs. But he's always the key for England, he has this innate ability to produce in the toughest and most important moments.
He’s an absolute champion. Would normally steer clear of perceived puff piece documentaries but his one on Amazon recently is really good - made me like him even more.
