No but it does chime with their general preference for abdicating responsibility.

Does Trump still have two twitter accounts, could only find one and it's been 17 hours since his last tweet, some kind of record?

This is quite reminiscent of when Boris had it, except Boris just went to a normal hospital (as if we have non-normal hospitals) whereas of course POTUS has his own suite with its own built-in ICU and so on.

Aye, the script is almost identical.

Mild symptoms, still working from isolation, precautionary tests, erm, intensive care, and, maybe for the Don, a box.

The important thing about this Trump Covid situation is realising that his adviser, Hope Hicks, is rather tidy.

Apparently a former model. Well played, Donny.

Just seen today's numbers and news about Cineworld closing till next year, this week gonna be fun. Full economic meltdown yet to be acknowledged, I wonder what gets that ball rolling, job figures later on in Dec/Jan maybe?

This is the first month we will see redundancy reporting following the end of furlough is it not? It jumped sharply as soon as the employer had to part pay the wages, I imagine it will jump tenfold now. My wife works in haulage and was overseeing a big money job for a customer the other day, her liason was updating her about the progress before a meeting the other day and then called back 30 mins later explaining she had been made redundant with contact details of the new liason, it's going to get brutal in the run up to xmas I think.

In certain industries it's going to be an absolute bloodbath.

The only upside is that at some point there should be a corresponding boom when stuff gets back to normal.

Won’t find out my fate until mid November. But it’s a blood bath and I’ve already made my peace with being let go. If it happens, it happens.

If it doesn’t, it’ll be horrid also as the organisation will be trying operate lean without the processes to let that happen without going full rogue.

Does your work have decent carry-over into non-oil sectors? Because I think we would all love to see you attempt to live and work in the Middle East.

There’s plenty of industries I could work in. My degree is pretty much a “can learn something theoretical and apply it practically” and the graduate scheme I came through will be quite well respected.

I was debating applying for jobs in Iraq on rotation, based almost entirely on the uplift being about £90k a year on top of your salary per year to live on a camp 4/4.

However, definitely would burn and or be worried 24/7 about being gunned down.

Other place I considered was Baku. Which could well become a war zone.

Could you not go to one of the less violent oil states and make a shit ton for like a year? Saudi or UAE or something.

Yeah, not sure the market will be great but I’ve a friend working in UAE so it’s definitely doable.

Alternatively yeah, I can cash out, buy a house back in the highlands and just do something menial.

Hopefully they don’t sack me (I don’t think they will) but we will see.

Want to come work with me in NZ? Wouldn't be oil and gas (we've banned that), but I'm sure you could transfer your skills into other engineering industries.

Had masks been implemented during the first wave, when this was being taken seriously the number of 'exempt' people would be about a quarter of what it is now.

I'm not having Sally tell me she can't wear a mask because of her anxiety when she's chill about potentially catching a virus that's killing people off.

We're 33 days with no community cases, but still masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces. Still manage to forget it at least once a week.

Wear the mould-infested masks that have little scientific backing. Take the nanotech microchip vaccine. Surrender to Bill Gates and his lizard chums.

Feel like everyone is kind of glossing over the Cineworld news. It's an absolute tragedy our creative arts, culture and places of social interaction are being decimated for autisms and basically dead people.

Using Excel is one thing, not understanding the limitations of columns v rows is hilarious.
