I went to a wedding on Friday with the local director of public health and nobody had masks on. I asked if she was tempted to put hers on but she said no, she was comfortable that the other guests seemed like a sensible crowd and have more than likely started their vaccinations, if not already double-jabbed. She even danced with strangers on the dance floor, no masks in sight but lots of delicious chemicals coursing through our throbbing veins.
So antimaskers (well, non-maskwearers, rather than the ‘wtf u wearing a mask for lol’ type) are fine, now they’re no longer enforced, but antivaxxers are just straight dumb.

You really do spout some bollocks don't you. It's common knowledge that the vaccine doesn't stop spread of the virus. The fact that they are still asking vax'd people to continue wearing masks might tell you something.

It's all a game of semantics though.
Being vaccinated puts you at reduced risk of actually getting it [and obviously being seriously unwell if you do get it] so it prevents spread in that regard.
As to transmissability [or viral load] this seems to suggest the effect of vaccination may not be that great* [I don't know the veracity/credibility of the study cited]. Obviously the overall message is vaccine good, so maybe the other stuff is in the too soon to know for sure pile.
People will always pick the evidence they want to suit their agenda, so I guess transmission rates could be back on the menu for the novid/zero covid alliance.
*edit - maybe that should be not completely effective, as the wedding anecdote seems like a good level of reduced transmission seeing as all you hear is that once it gets into a domestic setting then everyone gets it.

You just have to look at the numbers, really. Cases are down from a month ago, hospitalisations are just over a tenth of last year's peak. Even with side effects, it's a tiny amount of people that get caught out by clots. There is no argument for vaccines having no effect. There is no argument for them being inherently dangerous.
Quincy, wind it in mate, they will cite obscure studies with vague findings and wild anecdotes till the they convince all that they are better people.

Moderna jab #2 side effects are really unpleasant aren’t they?
Felt fine after the jab yesterday but woke up today with all the common side effects and it is deeply unpleasant.
If booster jabs become a thing I’ll be raging.
Nobody gets the Moderna one ffs.

Yesterday was a bit iffy after the second Pfizer. I put some of it down to no sleep but I had some serious shivers. It’s all good now. Even the arm’s healing quicker than first time out.

Certainly in Aberdeen it’s the most common one. The day I went for mine it was the only one available. My friend went earlier and specifically askew for Pfizer and was told they weren’t doing any that day.
Regardless - I’m starting to feel almost human again now. But this morning was not something I’d like to repeat.
