There was an Athletic podcast yesterday asking 'were Spurs the real winners?' after that Chelsea game it seems to have been completely lost that anyone with a vaguely competent attack hits them for as many as they want after they go down to 9 mine playing the way they were playing. It was basically only because Chelsea's heads had obviously gone as well and they have no decent attackers that they were still in the game at the end.
I've felt like Frank Grimes watching the reaction to all this. Maddening. Just trying to imagine if Arteta had 2 players sent off twice and then played that suicidally high line.

Spurs have always had a heavy, and largely frustrated, media following so it's hardly surprising that this narrative has been seized upon.
I've checked with the FA and now had it confirmed to me that Spurs were not, in fact, the real winners.
