A lot of noise around the different types of contracts, etc - hoping something get's sorted for freelancers who aren't necessarily self-employed as Mrs Merse falls into that category in Film & TV, often working as PAYE and only just recently starting some limited company/self employed work for a few jobs as she's getting more senior. She can sometimes for just a day on a production and still be PAYE, so she's completely stumped as to anything that might help her right now.

It's been fine where I am for PPE so far, but one of the regs did a locum at another hospital at the weekend and was asked to go into a room of a covid positive patient, who was on non-invasive ventilation, without proper PPE. Infection control reckoned standard surgical mask, apron and gloves were fine despite the fact NIV is probably THE most aerosolising, high-risk thing you can possibly do.
He told them he'd do it if they came and stood in the room with the same PPE on and all of a sudden the proper equipment became available...
