I really don't like giving out warnings/points etc. when we're about 20 people but Giggles, call Taz a rag head one more time and I'm banning you for a week.

Giggles...Stop pretending you’re a victim. You’re nearly twice the average age of this place, stop acting like a 6 year old. This is a place for everyone no matter the disagreements.
More more i need more
A rag would be better than that fucking bun.
Is that Milton Keynes?
Birmingham.
Okay, it appears Northumbrian Water decided to boot me off their bills because some whopper started using my address. Looking at my statements, said whopper was also paying my water bill for the last year.

What the sweet fuck is it with the prevalence of, and I've only just learned this term, non-games?
You'll know it's not like me to fly off the handle based purely off my own personal preconceptions but I say this without having tried any of them afaik (someone may well remind me of a popular one I was balls deep in back in the day though). A part of me reckons I will easily understand it if I was to get involved in them, LR said he's into this and I trust his taste but I just have so little interest. Sim City, Minecraft and now this are the big three that come to mind but I read about more and more of them recently.
I'm a mathematical [rain]man and have always been preoccupied with clearly defined goals and solutions. I turn human relationships into transactional challenges ffs so I'm well aware it's probably that which prevents me from embracing this but my main gripe with them is I don't understand why you'd seek (borrowing this from wiki above) "greater self-expression through freeform play" from a computer game designed by some randomer who has in-built restrictions and controls of his own. It seems like turning away from reality for a straight swap for an inferior reality. *You wanna farm and talk to like-minded farmers, brother get an allotment.
*I realise this last bit opens my point up to a host of no doubt strong logical arguments so I'd like to withhold the right to retract that bit if I do indeed realise upon further reflection that I've gone too far and need to reevaluate and focus my stance a bit better.
Thank you for listening.
Sounds like a shit Minecraft
I'm assuming /b/ have raided that at some point?
If people enjoy it, what’s up?
I'm a twit
Do you mean the sims rather than sim city?
Ya.
ll
Sandbox is a better term than non-game, and they're far more understandable than those weird clicker/idle games that you don't even really have to play.
You're shit. Minecraft is as much fun as you make it.
The people downstairs from me are currently having a barbecue in the back garden which includes at least six households worth of children running around the garden.
I'm more concerned by the weather conditions they've decided to have a BBQ in. I'm in the house with the fucking heater on. And I don't want to alarm the community but I've suddenly had a feeling of nausea come over me too. Will keep you updated but appreciate your concerns.
Sunny but cold sounds like a winner but is actually shit. I must be getting old.
I assumed Mahow had found his level.
Muggers, what's the tech mod of choice these days? It used to be Tekkit but I would imagine most of that is wildly outdated by now.
I use Buildcraft and IC2, and then Forestry mainly to allow me to convert IC2 energy into a format that you can power BuildCraft machines with. Oh and RedPower. I think there's a Tekkit Classic but i don't really care enough about any of the other mods tbh so i just have them custom installed
And RailCraft but i don't use it. Should get around to that though
I always wanted to get way into Minecraft but never did.
I'm a twit
Ah, so still the same sort of stuff then, I spent ages trying to get the BC quarry to work with sensible power sources back in the day. Railcraft I've had a bit of a go at but it's one f those mods where I spend ages setting it up (ie building a completely impractical place for it all to go and getting distracted because the paths aren't quite right) but never really know what to do with it. Thaumcraft too, I only ever really scratched the surface.
I wouldn't go that far.
I'm the same way about getting distracted, I got high a couple weeks ago and binned off this world I'd spent like 10 hours on because I couldn't get my solar panels symmetrical above my house.
Thaumcraft never really interested me, afaik it doesn't give you many projects to work towards, just makes you feel like you're in Hogwarts
There is a low flying helicopter that comes every night at around this time (since about 10 days ago) and flies ROUND and ROUND and ROUND, fucking incessantly, and fucking loudly. A tiny circle, each 'lap' lasting no more than 30 seconds before it buzzes by again.
What the fuck is it doing? Colours are black with a hint of blue so I assume it's police, but what the fuck are they doing other than keeping children awake? There's no way anyone would be able to sleep through this, and it's EVERY night.
One of my smoke alarms is giving it the beeps like it's low on battery. I can't replace the battery so I've given it a clean. It's been fine for 8 hours but now decides to start up again. Bollocks.
This is the thread for it. I think it's shit the battery's not removable.
Yeah that John post could theoretically invalidate all 150 () pages of this thread, so it's probably time to retire it.
