That might be a good idea normally, but now it seems like a massive waste of manpower when they could be helping the vaccine rollout that literally everything should be tilted towards (and ideally taken out of Public Health England/NHS hands).

I understand why they keep schools open when there isn't so much virus about (like in September), but at this particular juncture it seems to me a complete no-brainer to shut them down for a month, go to online learning (which happened in April so there must be a setup/plans for it, even if it means a degree of farting about) and see if that helps.
