The lad that owns the best pizza shop in town. Everyone hates him because he is rude as hell, but he makes crazy good pizza. Charges $30 for it, but it is totally worth it. After he went on holiday I ordered from one of the other places and it was simply atrocious. Never again.

It is, but it is pretty much the only place around here that does good food, so I suck it up and pay up.

Pretty much. Friend of ours once called to order a pizza, but dared asking if they could make x pizza without y ingredient. His answer was a swift no followed by hanging up the phone.

Pizzas over here are often bigger than a large dominos for example which probably accounts for some of the cost. Remember we have to tip here too, I never tipped in the UK for pizza.

Spoilt for choice for pizza in NY but this bad boy is my favourite. Roni cups and hot honey which is also over $30 with tip but it's comfortably feeding 4 people.

I vaguely remember Dominoes doing a tabasco crust which was immense but blew my arse out for hours after.

Had a pizza from a place near my mother in law's the other night which was confusing as, despite it being nice enough, they had a weird fluffy bread base instead of the standard doughy ones - and they were using what appeared to be bargain hotdogs as toppings.

Nah, an All-American classic. Well, he might claim to be Italian, like half of Americans do. I don't know.

Good point. My wife and I order one pizza and mozarella sticks and get two dinners out of it.

Oh yes, he also burns the crust quite often (it's still good, but yeah, definitely burnt), but he has signs all over the place saying "we cook our pizzas well done" and gets into internet flame wars with customers over it.

Sure enough, I was at my girlfriend's parents' house for dinner and they ordered pizza with barbecue sauce drizzled on top (and chicken ). It was predictably bad.

Chicken does not belong on pizza. As for barbecue sauce, I don't even know what to say. Horrendous combination.

It is delicious pizza. You'll have to trust me on this one. Also, the lad is really nice to me. He even gives me "buddy price".

True, although veal is better and I wouldn't consider that a chicken pasta dish per se, it's breaded item with pasta on the side.

Yep. It's not chicken pieces with pasta. It's an accompaniment.

Beef/lamb in a ragu is the way.

So you're not a dickhead if the meat touches the plate, but you are a dickhead if the meat touches cooked flatbread. Understood.

Cured pork products are the only really acceptable meats on a pizza, so I can see where Taz's ire is coming from, being denied such godly options.

Struggling to think of an exception to this. Each to their own and all but putting chicken (or beef for that matter) on a pizza is the worst way of using it.

Blue cheese, chicken tikka and a segment of Terry's chocolate orange (softened, but not melted). That will send Italy back into lockdown.

Change the record or go back and try that again.

My point back then is exactly the same as my point now.
“Oh you simply can only have spaghetti with bolognese”.
Not you can have whatever the fuck you like with it, fuck off.

And I mean exactly the same point. Some of you are such weirdos with this ‘correct foods’ thing.

Nope, it's close to the opposite point. You said only a show off would eat 'long pasta' when less messy options are available.
