Germany not winning their group (and Brazil winning theirs) sees 2nd place in England's group potentially on easy street to the semis. So we'll either go out ignominiously in the group, or win it and get bunted in the quarters whilst Belgium lol their way to the final. Probably the former.

Which is why if Tunisia are an organised bore fest they should be a decent barometer of where we are.

One thing I'll say for Southgate though, I do like that he hasn't brought anyone who's actually injured.
You are almost certainly correct, but flukes can happen. That’s all I’m getting at.

The buildup to this is pretty hilarious when we eventually get shafted by Tunisia

If England finish second, or Brazil contrive to come second in their group, I could see England making the semifinals easily enough.

I'm not saying they will, but it's a good side. And a lot of the other big sides haven't shown a great deal yet. Early doors, of course.

Those two biffters on the build up show there have somewhat outdone Winston and his little charity walk by cycling from Portsmouth to fucking Volgograd.

They mustn't know many people to only have raised two grand for charity having cycled two and a half thousand miles.

I'm not sure Harry Kane will be getting the +5% to inspiration, striker or not.

Hazard can do no wrong for Waff.

On the other side of the coin is Gary Cahill.

I'm pretty confident England will whallop Tunisia and panama. They'll be comfortable until they meet a decent side in direct knockout, then it'll get scrappy and cagey.

Tunisia seem to have conjoured a few random people out of nowhere since qualifying, presumably getting passports on the premise that their dad knew the lyrics to Dido - White Flag.

You can already see this lot are jokers too.
