The only interesting thing which isn't be clarified is what the error was. I can only assume that, somehow, the VAR room didn't realise the goal had been disallowed on the pitch and so gave it a cursory check complete as the alternative scenario [pressing the wrong button but just going with it] seems a lot more mental. Oh wait, I see that has been confirmed.
