Between that (done properly) and deep faking it maybe impossible to tell what's reality in time.

Don’t they have that thing where assistant can ring places and book things for you (if they didn’t scrap that like everything else they do) with fairly natural sounding AI doing the talking. Probably uses that.

    Edit - Google Duplex.

    Have you seen podcast.ai ?

And entirely fictional podcast episode with Joe Rogan and Steve Jobs, created by AI.

Not sure where else to put this, but here will do because the BBC are cunts.

I'm in Turkey and want to watch Match of The Day but forgot that the BBC didn't allow this. Assuming I need a VPN, but I've never used one before. Anyone got any recommendations? Phone friendly please.

You’re on holidays and you want to watch todays match of the day? One of the grimmest Saturday lineups since the sport began in 1992.

There are better options available, but the kids are asleep and leaving them to it went out of fashion when the McCann's went out for Tapas. There are an alarming number of Germans here too.

    Keep an eye on Reddit
    https://www.reddit.com/r/footballhighlights/

should be up soon and wouldn’t have to live stream it.

On my way home from a job this evening I got a pizza from a place dodgy enough looking that I should have known better. I’ve been up 4 times in the last two hours with exploding arsehole and I’m afraid to sleep

Feel your pain, I gambled on an Asda deli counter classic the other day. It was like 8pm and had been reduced to 30p so prob sat in questionably refrigerated conditions for hours. I also drenched the chips in some scotch bonnet sauce. Was rotating between lying on the sofa in my dressing gown watching YouTube and pissing out of my arse (not on the sofa)until about 5am.

Still enjoyed the pizza though and will almost certainly make the same mistake again if I see one reduced to below a quid.

He's right into his Scovilles this lad. Asks for specific sauces in restaurants knowing they won't have it. Tabasco? Go on then I'll just use half the bottle!

Yes lad. Apparently pepper spray is about the same scoville rating as a Carolina reaper so if you could grab me a bottle next time you're preparing to murder prostitutes I'd appreciate it mate, saves awkwardness when the gimp in Wetherspoons tries to fob me off with sriracha!

Taxi firms that mix your booking with someone else's.
Taxi firms that use long-dead shops as landmarks.
    Bus timetables post-covid. They're merely a suggestion.

2 hours later and I'm finally home.

Is "on the weekend" actually grammatically correct or is it another Americanism that's crept in? I'm noticing it more and more but I was sure us proper exponents of the English language used to say "at the weekend".

On the weekend I can just about live with but if proud Brits start using the singular form for bands and football teams I'm joining Veritas.

Isn't the singular form actually the correct way in English 'Manchester United is' etc? I'm sure I was told this when I moaned about the Australian coverage of 'The EPL' [ugh] years ago. Still obviously sounds horrid.

Realised my Steam library has FM12 to FM23. I've legally owned every version of the game since CM3 so I guess I just didn't activate them on Steam.

Anyway, yesterday, out of curiosity I checked the prices of Steam keys for the games earlier than 2012. For some reason 2009 and 2010 are about £60 each. 2011 was less than £3.50 though. Figured I might as well buy it cos as previously covered on here, I love squandering money.

The key didn't work, saying it had already been claimed. Created a ticket with Eneba which needed three specific screenshots, and the key was replaced. Also didn't work. Now raised another ticket. For a game I won't even install. Shouldn't have bothered.

All worth it for the Reddit upvotes when I post a screenshot of FM11 to FM23 in my Steam library though.

Actually I've just checked @Mike's Steam library and he has 2009, 2010 & 2011 in his, so I bet he activated our copy on his account, being the eldest and all, and I just played those ones via his account. Was a different way of life back then, eh!

Maybe I'll borrow a screenshot off Mike for those Reddit upvotes...

EDIT: Mahow skipped FM12, pass it on.

    My CM/FM route is spotty.

CM2, CM2 European Leagues, CM00-01, CM01-02, FM 2005, FM 2013. That's it. Part of me wants to check out 2005 again before they settled on the stuff they've been pumping out for the last decade.

Oh? No idea. I’ve sorted my Gamepass from there previously without problems. Anyway they’ve refunded me and I’ve just got it from Gamivo instead. Worked first time.

I don't feel like I'm older than others on here but my history is somewhat more aged. I had CM2 right through to FM08, then FM12 and FM13. I got the demo of a newer one (I want to say 17) but it had jumped the shark for me by that point.

I had CM97/98 on a dodgy "Blobby" disc that my Dad got from work (and previously a dodgy copy of CM on Amiga). CM3 was the first time we bought it legit and haven't missed a version since.

Funny how 01/02 remains king, by a laughable distance.

Christ seeing that list of games on Blobby 48 is a nostalgia overload.

Especially because you can edit the fuck out of it. One little notepad file patched to the .exe and the player development issues are fixed. Shame FM23 doesn't have that capability.
