The mountain is open but you can't go round Dougal's for a beer afterwards.

I once worked with someone that climbed Ben Nevis whilst under going Chemo. It must be piss easy.

No pub on the top though, so why bother?

Also, literally nothing has changed due to the amount of exemptions in place. It’s all time stop house parties, which were rife during the lockdown anyway.

People that live alone, couples, folk with kids, tradespeople and anyone looking after your children can all visit households still. Most pubs shut at 10pm anyway.

My brother in law spends half his life 'bagging' Munros and says Ben Nevis is one of the easiest, despite being the highest.

Ben Nevis is shit to walk up because it's shite weather between 355 and 362 days a year there, so by the top you're in the low fog clouds, it's all damp, rocky (like moon surface barren), fucking cold relative to the valley and full of confused looking and ill-prepared dickheads. The pub at the bottom provides welcome relief when you get there though. I suppose you could just bypass the hill and go straight in.

There was some polling the other day that showed most people are reassuringly reluctant to grass, but then I suppose it only takes a minority to ruin everything.

It's the ones that require grassing on that are ruining everything, though your type view is becoming all too common.

Loving the division in society though.

It’s a good job the over 60s aren’t actual people.

One bloke set his loafers on fire and we have to install a surveillance state and change air travel forever but anything less than 1000 perfectly healthy people dropping dead (ignoring all of the long term issues like heart/lung issues) is a shrug.

Seems to be a growing attitude that 60 is the cutoff age for being allowed to live.

So your point is that, we should go back to normal and cause more illness and more deaths so that they can die of something else instead?

Or that applying blanket rules to all demographics is silly. Shield those that need to be shielded and continue with atleast some form of socially distanced, masked up normality.

    And yet:

At least we won't hear any moaning from all these cunts about unemployment etc. That's only fair.

The 45% must be a coalition of comfortable work-from-home plebs, and the hate-filled old people who haunt Marks & Spencer.

Can't be kids, can it? Kids (i.e. anyone younger than me) have lives to lead. I wonder if there's an age split on it.

What's the business with M&S? I've only been in on a couple of rare forays so yet to build a picture but my brother and his ting do their weekly shop there so I fear at the breed of the demographic that regularly shop there. Is it all just autistic creatures who find Waitrose too mainstream?

There are tables in the link and it's almost completely uniform across social/identity divides. Not even Brexit vote predicts it (that normally predicts everything). The biggest variable is Lab/LD voters being pro-lockdown, but even that's not massive. Women like lockdown a bit more than men, too.

We had our check ups and hygienist last week. They couldn't use the usual power tools for the hygienist (due to excess spray) so she had to go 'manual' which wasn't pleasant. And all for the delightfully expensive £180.

Waitrose is for ponces and Lib Dem voters. M&S is for a lower class of person: dull, slow thickos with a bit of money and no imagination. A lot of them are old. I have a very clear memory of being in there once and a mid 60s woman angrily told the Asian checkout attendant (when they offered her a bag) to 'Leave me alone! When I want a bag, I'll bloody well ask for one!' and that sums it up as a clientele.

I have a bit of money these days, so we get our meat from the LOCALLY SOURCED Butchers and our veg via a smug and ENVIRONMENTALLY SUSTAINABLE "Odd Box".

That's when you know you've really entered the Middle Class.

That said, our Odd Box turned up with the below this week so we're on the ropes somewhat. Although we did get "kiwi berries" which are a game changer.
