Should we all just watch babestation at a pre determined time and pretend it’s real?

Unfortunate but these things happen - the risk was clear.

Now, if you could give some stock tips that would be better as I appear to be terrible at that and am way further red from that than this.

You have Smith & Nephew don't you? It looks like it's bottomed out. Double Bottom in Feb and March, should be going up from here. I can't see fireworks though. The price isn't massively far from fair value. Also, if you're buying big companies like that for the long term, you may aswell just buy an ETF and have someone manage it for you. I doubt there'd be much difference in growth between them.

Yeah smith and nephew doesn’t seem to be moving much. It pays a dividend though which is some solace. It’s around about where I bought it though - I probably went too large too quick.

    Legal and general (dividend)
    Bmw (dividend, electric vehicles?)
Smith and nephew (seems a future stock, dividend)
Rolls Royce (Russia fucked this up, I actually debated selling it for a profit in feb)

I’ll probably hold the above long term if I can’t bail out.

I had persimmon (which I bought for the dividend, after the ex date in error) so sold it nearly straight away (for a profit)

I’m chucking £375 a month into a tracker fund. Realistically I should’ve lobbed the whole lot in this, but where’s the fun in that?

In reality I’ve sold a bunch of my company shares, so I’ve probably only invested £5k of new money.

I’m lucky really, I’m pretty liquid so could absorb catastrophes pretty well. and I’ve acquired a heck of a lot of my company shares so just trying to bin them off whilst the price is reasonable.

I wanted to buy relx but the price just keeps rising towards ATH. Also fancy something like sainsbury as supermarket should be a relative safe haven?

Ideally I need to plug some money into renewables to offset my career. The company pivot will probably tank the sure price.

Warren Buffet's clearly never gong to go and die so just buy Berkshire Hathaway and never look at anything again.

What's the value in his? He doesn't pay dividends so is the value that the share will always go up?

Dividends are great if you want a stable income as a retiree, less so if you're trying to make money. Almost all companies paying dividends are already huge, and have no interest in growing further (otherwise they'd invest their earnings, rather than throw it at investors). You have to be careful of Dividend Traps too. So many shit companies taking on debt just to keep the dividend in payment, because they're scared of losing investors.

You are usually better buying for growth than for dividends, although that isn't easy in this market.

Swing trading is the daddy though. I made about 60% over the last 2 weeks, just holding a 3x short on Tesla. 15% of that was today. Obviously that's subject to your willingness to be active and monitor though. My bank details are available via PM lads. Investment starts at £1000.

Yeah I’m staying well clear of trading. Too much downside.

I’m just looking to hold/consolidate some shares so I’ve got a mix of finance, so large dividend companies are fine. I like the punting on a company strategy though.

Tesla seems way too high for what it is. And yet, up it trends.

I’m just done having zero conviction. I fancied Netflix back in 2015 and did nothing. I saw the vaccine news on bbc news at like 7am when it was first reported and knew the market would rise across the shop and did nothing. No more. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But I’m going to take some punts.

    Unlucky Mellers.

I've always wondered whether this sort of 'plan' is better suited to scalping X amount every day as some sort of wage, rather than as an exponential growth route to retirement. I'm sure plenty of people do the former, although obviously you need a bit of capital to start that sort of thing. Good luck with the next run.

Drag. I know you said you'd refuse money but I'd be good for another £100. Fantasising about my massive returns was nice.

Which is obviously a tragic state of affairs but there you have it.

    Yeah.

My argument is the RS6 has a huge boot and back seats so will accommodate baby seat and pram. It's a ridiculous idea I know.

Never really wrapped my head around NFTs, it sounds like BS when I first started hearing of them and that remains the case today so when you day nobody forseen it, am I right in assuming you mean in NFTs in general or just that particular one?

Full time as of Tuesday coming. No max buy in. £50 minimum (and rounded to nearest £50). Might do Binance. See what the starting figure is. WhatsApp group for all participants.

Happy days. I had and have no clue about what it actually is but there aren't too many threads created here that I've read from start to finish as I did with this one a few days ago.

I'm in if enough decide to give it another go so just let me know what you need. Assuming just the cash in which case, I'd much rather transfer direct from my bank than have to sign up to PayPal and the like then I'll sit back and hope lady luck is smiling down on you.

Good stuff. So, honest appraisal of what went wrong last time.

We increased the account by 180% and made a decent start, whilst not sensational. Then we plateaued for a bit due to a combination of inactivity and chop in the market. Sensed a bit of frustration on here, and felt it myself also, that we'd been sat around 10k for a couple of weeks. Decided to try and blast through the ceiling with a high leverage options move. This failed as firstly, I was wrong (obvs). Secondly, it was stupid. Thirdly, there are no stop losses on options. I broke away from process and relied on my own will to get us out of a deep red trade, which I completely blew. Turns quickly and manual exits are left open to second guessing. So the learning here is be right (obvs), but the main one is I have to discard options as the stop loss is key to such aggressive trading. Keeps the red percentages small and the risk low(er).

On the plus side, 5 more 180% increases would equal 1.7 mil, so we were on the right road and I'm more convinced than ever the big play is there to be had.

Easier said than done but your mentality needs to shift a little. You can't see it as playing with other people's money as it'll affect your judgement, sticking when you should twist whatever, you've just got to go with your gut instinct, difference between £10 and £100 is visually is only an extra zero. Discount it. Your stake/budget whatever, it is what it is and it'll be whatever it ends up being.

As for the frustration, I didn't quite read it as that when I read the thread but I sensed it was the sporadic updates that caused that if anything? Regardless, in the words of Brick Top, "If I throw a dog a bone, I don't want to know if it tastes good or not". Just do your level best to ensure the bone is so big that we all end up feasting on it if the big play arrives.

Hopefully the majority who chanced it for the first run will give you another shot.

It was definitely a distraction, but I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a part of me that wants to run it all through the thread and smash the living daylights out of it.

    No max.

And surely the lesson is never do anything without a stop loss. I'm personally happy to wait a while for the bags, but enjoyed the updates.
