With 4 of my 6 leagues drafted I had a look at which players I own multiple shares in.... no shocks who is top of the pile, I own Andrew Luck in all 4 leagues

Duke Johnson, Devante Parker and Allen Robinson come in 2nd with 3 leagues each (Robinson only missing the 12 teamer and Duke/Parker only missing my original dynasty). Technically I already own Gurley in 3 leagues too, but that's including my 5th league where I have him as a keeper.

Nailed on they'll all suck massively.

Okay I have very few WRs compared to RB (I was hoping it’d be the other way round for PPR purposes) and I probably ranked Marquise Goodwin a bit too high but overall I like how the autodraft used my pre-draft rankings and didn’t get more than 2 DST/kicker.

I was very happy to get Gronk and Rodgers. Probably should have got Bell but hopefully Barkley will be amazing.

Is it normal for DSTs to be projected such pathetic scores? I’m sure I asked this last year too but yea, it still strikes me as odd. In my other leagues they’re usually projected 10-15 but in the new ones it’s all around 5.

    I don't think so.

My random Yahoo league has thrown me a week 1 matchup with Brady, Baldwin, Gronk and Fournette (my opponent) against Wilson, Thielen, Funchess, Kamara and Kelce (me) so I maybe fucked. Got Thommo week 1 in TTH so I guess that's a good start(?) and I may as well play it by ear with the fresh Dynasty league as I'm facing Michael's Team (whose that @Browning ?) while I still have no idea what QB I'm starting with The projected scoring for the fresh dynasty league has it pretty tight though.

Of course there's a scoring difference, but I'm just wondering what "normal" is.

    For comparison, here's the scoring:

TTH (and the new 12 man dynasty)

    Sack: 1
    INT: 2
    Fumble Recovery: 2
    TD: 6
    Blocked Kick: 2
    KR/PR Touchdown: 6
    Points Allowed:
    0 = 10
    1-6 = 7
    7-13 = 4
    14-20 = 1
    21-27 = 0
    28-34 = -1
    35+ = -4
    Extra Point Returned: 2

    My other leagues:
    Sack: 2
    INT: 3
    Fumble Recovery: 3
Safety: 2 (not included in the other leagues)

    Everything else is the same.

I'm guessing what we have is the way it's normally played, but can't say I hate our other system because it at least makes them relevant. According to projections, the difference between a top and shit unit is about 5 points under standard scoring (Detroit the top unit for week 1 with just over 9 points, Tampa the worst with just over 4 points).

    @Pleb that would be me.

It's going to be a close one, and the projections will probably favour you once half my team is ruled out injured.

A bunch of moves went through in my main league this morning as free agency opened. None of the names I noted were claimed though except Williams. Strangely Kerryon Johnson was dropped for Riddick but I’m unsure if he is worth the waiver claim as I would have to drop either Parker or Khalil Mack but as this league has no weekly waiver, maybe it’s worth it.

My final 2 drafts of the year are done, both 8 team, 2 QB leagues I don't over care about:

First One (#1 pick, no keepers):
    QB: Wilson (2), Watson (5)
    RB: Gurley (1), McCoy (7)
    WR: Thomas (3), Evans (4), Baldwin (6)
    TE: Walker (12)
    Flex: Robinson (8), Jones (9)
    DST: Baltimore (16)
    K: Lutz (21)

    Bench: Stafford (10), D.Henry (11), Sanders (13), Kupp (14), C.Thompson (15), K.Johnson (17), Doyle (18), Crowell (19), Penny (20), Tyrod Taylor (22)

2nd One (#8 Pick, Gurley and Watson as Keepers)

    QB: Brees (3), Watson (22)
    RB: Gurley (4), Collins (6)
WR: Thomas (1), Julio Jones (2), Landry (5)
    TE: Reed (14)
    Flex: Robinson (7), Cooks (8)
    K: Vinatieri (23), Succop (25)
    DST: Denver (17)
    IDP: Mosley (18), Mack (21), R.Jones (24)

    Bench: Sanders (9), Ingram (10), Crabtree (11), Bortles (12), C.Thompson (13), Kupp (15), Duke Johnson (16), Cobb (19), Ravens (20)

I missed a pick and it auto picked Denver who I didn't want.... but oh well.

Someone went for Saquon with the third pick.

It's a $40 buy in league with no keepers too.

Half way though the fourth round and the best RB left is fucking Derrick Henry or Dion Lewis.

Edit: Fifth round and I'm pretty much forced into taking Alfred Morris

    So here's my draft:

To say I hate it would be an understatement.

One team ended up taking a total of 8 RBs (Ajayi 4, Hyde 6, Aaron Jones 7, Sony Michel 8, Marlon Mack 9, Latavius Murray 10, D'Onta Foreman 11, James Conner 12).

I thought TTH was bad with the way the RB's were going but this draft took the fucking piss.

RB is being way overvalued this year. But unfortunately if you dont go along with it you get left out.

Either NFL is shit or the commissioner is shit. The two keepers have gone through as first and second round picks, mine aren't too terrible with Kamara as R1 pick 4 and Michael Thomas as R2 pick 17. Other teams have fared much worse (Sanders 1/Fitz 2 for one team is probably the worse).

Also, it only lists four rounds right now. Hopefully that's a display error because it's going to be chaos after.

Edit: It is a display error thankfully.

    Happy enough with that.

Went a little too heavy on DL but I didn't realise that the Texans and Ravens shared a bye until after I drafted Judon and Clowney.

Think I may have found a gem in 'Peanut' Onwuasor being listed as a DB. He should be the starter next to Mosley and LB's generally get the most points so being able to use an extra one is quite nifty.

    - #1 WR
    - #1RB
    - Maybe #1 TE & DST if people want to (no kicker though, obviously)

Highest total score wins the week. Maybe I'll tally it for the season too.

*For those outside the league it's basically standard fantasy scoring, but 6pt passing TD & -2 for an INT.

EDIT: This is the draft for this week:

Chiefs/Raiders doesn't count this week, obviously.
    You mean this right?^

I'm up for it, not sure how survivor football works though.

I forgot about that I was just going to set a free league up on Yahoo, not sure I can be arsed to do that for a full season, although I will if that’s the preferred option.

Survivor is basically (I think) where you pick one team each week to win, and you can’t use the same team twice all season. If you pick a team & they lose, you’re eliminated, and the last one standing is the winner.

Basically, just pick whoever was playing Cleveland last season & you’d have won every survivor pool you entered.

Considering it was auto drafted you've done alright. The starters are good, but you might want to look on waivers to swap out some of those bench spots.

Yeah, that’s actually pretty good for an auto-draft

Who are the best players at WR/TE/RB on the waiver wire? There are a few bench players there that could be worth dropping if there are some decent alternatives available.

Fuck sake Pleb, bringing that pick'em game back up has slowly tempted into doing it again. I'll get a season predictions game up shortly, but the daily fantasy league is now up:

    https://sports.yahoo.com/dailyfantas.../8573/overview

All free, with ten spots so anyone who wants to can join, and we can always fill other spaces with people from the other leagues if we feel like it.

Right, here we go then, it's time for the 2018 NFL Pick'em Extravaganza!

It'll be the same format as last year, since I'm too lazy to do anything else, but before that we'll start with a warmup, featuring your picks for the end of season division winners, award winners & statistical leaders. This will also serve as a great opportunity for us to come back at the end of the season at laugh at how terrible some of our picks were, so let's have your guesses for the following categories:

    Division Winners:
    Toggle Spoiler

    Postseason:
    Toggle Spoiler

    Individual Awards:
    Toggle Spoiler

    Individual Stat Leaders:
    Toggle Spoiler

And the bonus round...go out on a limb with your answers to the following questions, the bolder the predictions, the better!
    Toggle Spoiler

Also, if you could chuck out your picks for the season opener tomorrow night (Philly v Atlanta), that would save me having to rush out the week one predictor for tomorrow

He's probably going to show up on Saturday, since that's the last day he can without losing a game cheque. Cleveland had one of the best run defences in the league last year too, so I guess they'll just have to chuck it to Antonio Brown for a change.

    I doubt it.

He was doing this last year. Played like shit in the first two games (and was rested in the final) yet still finished as the second best RB at a touch under 300 points.

Well he's not even making the first game this time. A lot of disappointed fantasy owners I'd imagine.

@Baz, I was going to rip you for picking a team that went 0-16 last season & has won one game in two years as the one to be unexpectedly terrible, but you've saved yourself with the 'Bell will be shit' hot take.

Also, to clarify, the Kamara award doesn't have to be a rookie, just someone that nobody is talking about who will emerge as a stud.

Then yeah, I'm going all fucking out with Judon.

He's getting at least 15 sacks this season I guarantee it.

Can't be arsed with player stats and MVP so here's the division/conference winners.

    AFC

AFC North: The Baltimore Ravens are the only team getting out of the division due to the fact that the Steelers have shit the bed the past few seasons and the Browns and Bengals are still trash. Not even the lord saviour Baker Mayfield and Tyrod Taylor will get the Browns out of this garbage division.
AFC South: Fuck me sideways the Jaguars have finally done it the mad bastards. Saying that cue the Titans giving them a massive fisting if the Jags can't be bothered to play proper football.
AFC East: A joke of a division. Patriots...next. Don't even tell me that the Bills are relevant because there not. Scenes if the Jets get a wildcard spot.
AFC West: The Chiefs would probably easily get out of the division alive then not bother with offseason because that's a Chiefs thing to do.

AFC Wildcard Teams: Titans, Chargers (there I said it)
AFC Conference Champion: We'll never live it down from Mahow if the Ravens get a Super Bowl spot. However we all know it's going to the Patriots again.

    NFC

NFC North: Kirk Cousins is going to love this division. Vikings. Packers v the Bears for a wildcard spot.
NFC South: Ouch. Saints. Tampa for 0-16 because karma. Any of these teams could potentially get a wildcard spot apart from the Bucs. Fuck them.
NFC East: The only reason that the Eagles are getting out of this division easily is because they are in a division with the Giants and the Cowboys. The Redskins are a potential dark horse so look out for them.
NFC West: No brainer. Seahawks. Garbage division mind.

    NFC Wildcard Teams: Bears, Panthers
NFC Conference Champion: Toss up between the Seahawks and the Eagles. Head says Eagles. Yeah I know a repeat of last year's superbowl, colour me shocked.

    Falcons @ Eagles: Eagles.

It's finally time for the first write up preview of 2018.

This year brings my total leagues up to 4, doubling last years participation with the addition of the Dynasty leagues. I won't do full write ups for the TTH leagues as it's there for us all to see.

    Work League

I'm back-to-back champ here, hoping to make it a threepeat. I see a tough start for myself though.

    Toggle Spoiler

This guy was #1 pick. His first 3 picks were Gurley, Kelce(he badly wanted Gronk but he went a pick earlier and he tilted a little) and Rodgers. However he made a trade when someone dangled his favourite player in Freeman infront of him and Rodgers went the other way. Replaced him with Rivers which has me more worried about the matchup than I was.

QB - A toss up. I tend to draft Stafford these days as the Lions don't have an established run game and they're never really too far ahead in games. This one is a toss up though. Game script will decide it.

RB - I expect to lose here. The Raiders are a strong contender for the #1 pick next year, so Gurley could go mental here. Whereas Howard should struggle against a good Packers run D. I'm quite tempted to bring in Rex or Henry for this round.

WR- I should make the points back here. My WR corps is the strength of the team. The unknown here is how good the Pats D is this year and how well they can neutralise Hopkins.

TE - He holds the clear advantage here. As I said previously, I got caught out in this draft by some teams taking 3 TE. I expected to be left with better. Eifert seems an okay play, but there's potential to go for higher ceiling and pick up and play Gesicki. MarQuies Gray has just hit IR, so his potential rises some more.

DEF - I believe both the Eagles and the Niners lose this week, so I expect to lose this battle.

Overall I need someone to carry me here. Though I feel a defeat incoming.

As for the league in general, I need to balance out my bench. The lack of flex spot means my 6 RBs is overkill. My plan is to hope Rex takes advantage of a limited Sony Michel and puts in a good week 1, then I'll flip him. Same kind of plan for Breida, although the Shanahan offence might make me want to hold onto him.
Also the more I sit with Derrick Henry the more I want to trade him. Dion Lewis just makes me uneasy. I've already mentioned my issues at TE above.

    TTH - Standard

A week ago I'd have said definite loss against @Browning, but Le'Veon Bellend has made this matchup closer.

    Toggle Spoiler

I like his receivers better, but minus Bell I like my RBs better. I think this one will be decided by how well Luck does.

    TTH - Dynasty

I play @Sir Andy Mahowry in both Dynasty leagues this week and I fancy my chances in both. I again benefit from Bell holding out and I hope to see David Johnson return to his form of 2016.
I've moved in Agholor to replace Goodwin for the week. I favour myself in this matchup, but anything can happen.

    Toggle Spoiler

    Dans Dynasty League

This is the 2nd year of this league, but my first in it, having taken over and had the #1 draft pick.

This is my favourite matchup of the week. Again Mahow the opponent, but this has the potential to be ugly.

    Toggle Spoiler

The difference in RB here is vast. There's nothing he can really change up on his bench either. I'd also say my WR corps is better. Either way he needs a big game from someone here to take it.
His RB game is going to need a few years of fixing too. But this team was in a bit of a state when he took over.

Besides the obvious 2, I've got a very good and very young team here. I still have Mark Ingram and Aaron Jones on the bench too, so this can get even better. I could probably afford to trade one away to bring in a successor to Larry Fitz.

    I like my chances here.
