Saka played literally every game last year which is untenable but I can't see a player that would be as effective as Saka willing to sit on the bench for most of the season either.

Personally I think Xhaka's reputation is incredibly unfair, largely unearned and then due to said unfair reputation gets treated unfairly. Some of his red cards were truly bizarre. I remember one where he got a red card for preventing a goal scoring opportunity when the tackle was in the opposition half and Arsenal had multiple men behind the ball.

Basically Xhaka played in the position this season he should have done his entire time at Arsenal but was always being put further back where he was prone to getting caughr on the turn and chasing back. Pushed further up this was virtually eliminated from his game.
