Maybe Southampton as Liverpool put a lot in during the week and tend to be inconsistent.

The latter's odds changed went I clicked 'Place Bet' to 6/1, so I didn't bother.

I didn't go for the former either, but that was the easiest money of the weekend if anyone went for it. He's avoided bookings for a few weeks so he could play in the Derby, but he couldn't help himself.

A few of my mates had some money on the Sky Bet Request a Bet of Colback first carded player/Defoe first goalscorer @ 100/1, so there was some celebrations at 0-1.

Shezknee with two mega safes in the last five minutes give poland the win. Robert not scoring means i break even.

Asain qualifying tomorrow with some awful teams in action. Accumulator handicaps is my the way to go. Looking at it now

Dundalk are in action tomorrow away at St. Patrick's Athletic @2.2. Im on that.

Just looking into the boxing odds for upcoming fights. There is a tradition where you can usually get @3 underdogs quite often. Bradley @3 to beat pacman looks decent. My pick though is wilder @1.8 who is going to russia in may to fight povetkin. Those odds are wrong, very wrong. I know its an away game for wilder but the difference in class and size is embarrassing. Im going balls deep on wilder right now. Those odds will surely change the closer we get.

Realised I'd backed the opening games in the Euros (spaz) and traded out for £76 () and had it all on France last night.

Anyone spot anything today? Looks barren.

The odds for players to be booked are good tonight - Rose is the lowest at 4/1 but Dier, Can and a few others are 5/1.

I know it's a friendly but it's Germany vs England, surely there'll be at least 2 or 3.

Dier @ 5/1 looks good, IMO.

    Edit: Sky Bet, this is.

    Boxing

    Broner(31-2-KO23)
    vs
    Theophane(39-6-1-KO11) @11

Broner has in and out of the ring problems. Allegedly he took part in some robbery with a pistol, running around with stupid rap musicians doing Dumb shit, constantly at a war with words with floyd mayweather, family problems, etc. He just missed the 140 pound weight limit by half a pound for the theophane fight. Broner should walk theophane but at odds of 11, its worth a £10. Theophane isnt great at all but broner head could be all over the place for this. Saying that, it could work in the opposite direction and broner could be ready to kill. I fully expect broner to win, with or without all this fuckery.

    edit: LOST

For each way, there is no better value out there than Byeong-Hun An who my bookmaker quotes at 125/1.

Some wonderful players at absurdly long odds. I'll do a post tonight or tomorrow.

The Masters. Here I always look for three things: people who shape it from right to left, people with a versatile short game, and course experience. Knowing the nooks and crannies counts for a lot.

This year there is an extra level of hype compared to normal, because we have entered an era where there is a clutch of truly world class players vying for the top prizes and most of them are in excellent form. From a gambling point of view, this creates opportunities because the Seven Sisters, as I've just decided to call them - Day, Spieth, McIlroy, Scott, Watson, Fowler and Dustin 'Dustbin' Johnson - push the other prices out so fucking far. This is of course fair because the winner is likely to come from the above seven, but with most firms seeming to be paying out at least six places (with only 89 in the field) there are a lot of each way tempters around.

First I'll go through the seven plus Bonus Phil.

Day 6/1 on the face of it is a very strong favourite, having won a shitload recently and performed well at Augusta in the past, but I just can't bring myself to back him at that price. At that price against this field I want peak Tiger, really.

McIlroy 15/2 is fair value but I won't dabble. He has had good years here and will probably win one day, but he's not quite putting four days together at the moment and he's making a lot of mistakes around the greens, which can be very costly here.

Spieth 9/1 is the worst value out of the front runners. He won last year on the back of amazing form (like the form Day brings this year) but it's not quite happening for him in 2016. There are still good rounds, but there are plenty of bad rounds too.

Bubba 12/1 is the lowest priced player that I will back. His long game is basically a cheat code around here, especially on the scoring holes 13 and 15, so if he doesn't have one of his temper meltdowns and throw his caddy in the pond, you want him on your team.

Scott 12/1 I won't personally back but I wouldn't advise against it either. Contrary to all expectations he has been rejuvenated after the anchoring ban and looked really quite godly winning the Cadillac recently. Has he peaked too early? Possibly, but he's a past champion around here and should have won another year as well.

Rickie Fowler 14/1 is not an especially good bet, to be honest. In the last year he has solved his penchant for bottling big events, but his Augusta record is fairly modest and his form is not up there with some of the others.

Dustbin 16/1 is a famous and serial bottler of major championships, having bottled at least three handy Sunday leads that I can remember, and I can't see that changing. Also his wedges are not what they need to be here of all places.

Phil 18/1 is always there or thereabouts at Augusta, but at his age I'd want slightly bigger odds.

Now my outside choices... all very much each way.

Louis Oosthuizen 35/1. A Major champion, second in two of the last three majors, beaten in a playoff here when Bubba first won, and in good form having won in Australia recently and reached the matchplay final which he lost to Day. No idea why he's so long.

Andy Sullivan 100/1. Brummie funster, has kind of come from nowhere in Europe over the last couple of years but is now performing consistently in the big events, memorably taking McIlroy all the way in the Dubai championship. Only thing that counts against him is being a debutant.

Byeong Hun An 125/1. This guy is value and a half for my money, having won at Wentworth last year which is often a good guide, and generally looked comfortable in a range of big events through his young career. He isn't actually a debutant either, having played as an amateur a few years back. I would have him inside Sullivan, for example.

Charley Hoffman 125/1. Why not, knows how to win, is in pretty solid form and of course was in the final group with Spieth last year before falling away.

Victor Dubuisson 200/1 which will lose, but I feel I have to back him because I want to be there when he makes it.

And as an absolute long shot 50p type thing, Troy Merritt 400/1 is the best value of the long, long outsiders. Warning - everybody make sure not to go anywhere near Steven Bowditch in case his price looks big blind - he has the yips.

I got on Spieth at about 5/2 after he'd finished his round yesterday and glad I did, he's now close to evens and nobody else is doing anything, in fact most are going backwards. He's not playing spectacular golf, he just isn't making mistakes and the rest all seem to have a double bogey only one shot away.

Each way digs are better value - if I was in the clubhouse on +1 or better at the moment I'd be very relieved. Aphibarnrat is one option who will probably have solid odds. Mickelson for a safer bet.
