Bought my son an Arsenal Strip for his birthday. Almost disowned him when he came out with that smug look and the gloves. The world is doomed.

Not bought music for yonks, but Bluetoothing my phone in the car is getting tiresome, because TomTom talks over it.

Hadn't had a good spree on Amazon in ages but went on last night and bought a heap of S7 shit and an RFID wallet. I need to remove that 'Buy it Now' thing.

Depends what you mean by 'reasonably priced' I guess. Apparently the Ikea Markus is a very good chair for the price.

EDIT: Although it looks like it's quite a lot more than I remember.

Yesterday, just as I was falling asleep I decided to pick up my phone and go to Amazon. It turns out that I decided to buy a 'build it yourself robotic arm'.

If it can't wank me off that's £30 down the drain.

    I've just spent £25 on a 25cm globe and a mini-microscope.

Maybe this belongs in Manc's thread.

The Mrs just picked up my Google Home. God knows if I'll get any use from it but they're not crazy money at $140 and I'm interested to see what it's like vs the Echo.

My mum has the Echo. It's the most cringeworthy pointless faddy hipster piece of shit I've ever seen.

And the Echo is fucking dire as well.

I doubt I will "upgrade" anytime soon but when I had read up in it a while back it sounded like not that much was going to change.

No, I only have this one.

From what I've read (which is a lot) unless you're massively into swimming/fitness then it's probably not worth it. WatchOS 3 seems to be the main change and that's free-to-all.

What all does the Apple watch do? Someone in work has one and it doesn't seem like it does much other than display texts on their wrist so they don't have to get their phone out of their pocket.

I've never used one but that's all an android wear watch does and from what I gather, the Apple one does a lot more. Definitely in the respects of doing it on-device rather than just everything mirroring the phone,

Picked up an Nvidia Shield K1 this morning for my Da for Christmas. 8" really is a nice size for a tablet and it feels really solid. I'd say there's not many better out there for the £150 mark considering the specs too.

Cheers. I think I need check on the update then.

Not into swimming and I hate wearing a watch while working out. Although when I get back into running I'll keep it on then.

Some phones are available discounted from Amazon but part of the discount is that the software is altered so that you get Amazon ads on your lock screen and in your notifications. I could well see them doing it with their own devices.

EDIT: Actually now I see what you mean. I'm trying out a new keyboard and it auto corrected ads to are.

It wasn't just the keyboard thing, I'd have needed the explanation too.

    I'm not sure.

EDIT: Yeah, I think they do. £85 'with special offers'. £100 without.

Still, I guess £100 for a tablet isn't bad. It seems to be getting very good reviews. I'm tempted by one.

Food, alcohol, and some other bits and pieces. Some food/drink for the folks too and for the Mrs to take with her for Christmas.

And a fortnights groceries too while I was that far.
