The one gloved boxer gets me everytime. Plus the sumo completely not expecting kicks and punches to be thrown, and the whole “we’ve not really figured out the rules yet so… FIGHT!” vibe is crazy, even without comparing it to UFC nowadays.

I don't really have any interest in UFC, but I do love the fact that a good slice of America, perhaps all of it, think the Brits are super salty about the American War of Independence.

I’ve been out the loop for a long time but I was chatting to an Aussie and a Canadian in the Bierkeller in Liverpool (lol) about how much I used to love UFC, and we chatted about some old events and our favourite fighters. They were surprised I hadn’t heard of Tom Aspinall and reckoned he’ll be the GOAT, even more so than Jones and GSP. Obviously ‘I’m in England so will talk bollocks to get Brits inside’ but how good is he?

I watched some Dark Side of the Cage today. The episodes about Kimbo Slice, Nick Diaz and Ronda Rousey. Pretty good. Not sure I’ll bother with any of the others, although maybe the two (rise of, fall of) episodes about Pride if I can be bothered.
