Now having watched Season 1, which couldn't even be described as good, I'm sticking with that hypothesis.
To be honest I think this is what the streamers are going for with pretty much all of their content, and is why the eponymous golden age of television is over.

Yep. Having access to the actual data, probably all data about who is watching, vs whatever nonsense the tv companies used to do to calculate viewing figures was only ever going to lead to this.

Fortunately for me, "couples television" is stuff like Night Agent and Reacher. I go one way to watch sport, she goes the other way to watch MAFS and similar shit, then we reconvene to watch stuff where faces get caved in.

Yes tonight will be MAFS on the tablet for her and the Champions League on tv for me.

We did watch Am I Being Unreasonable? Together which I thought had some merit but is hamstrung by the fact the lead actors are the writers so I feel like that impacts development somewhat. Mainly shit like The Apprentice for us.

I maintain the top tier couples tv was Desperate Housewives, decent writing and all the top women prancing about in their pants shagging but packaged as women's tv.

Reacher is not "couples TV" aside from the bit where he takes his shirt off.

The even bigger lad is Dutch, which checks out. Absolute fucking unit that guy

The Wheel of Time is back which would be considered cause for celebration but it's been so long since the last episode I don't have a clue who anyone is or whats going on. The end of episode one I had to google whether this bloke existed previously and ran into 4 seperate book based spoilers.

Watched it all and while it was good, even very good in parts, I think this description is most apt. It just doesn’t hang together very well.

My wife watches Waterloo Road and I had trouble distinguishing it from that nonsense.

I've only watched the first three, but I'm please to see that even Stephen Graham couldn't be arsed after the first episode.

    Episode 1 - Very good
Episode 2 - Crap and plucked from a different show
Episode 3 - Good, but took a while to get going
Episode 4 - I'd given up caring well before it ended

Also didn't need four hours to tell me Andrew Tate is a bad man and bad influence on young boys, particularly at least five years too late.

This might be the best example, but that sort of thing was littered throughout the show and you could tangibly see the actors believed that these lines were absolute garbage and their performances dropping immediately as a result. You'd have a well built up scene only to be completely taken out of it by a character realising in said scene that the internet exists.

The whole one shot thing falls apart when you have to do something, say, drive to the shops, for example.

I think these things suffer - like when the soaps have done similar story lines - because the writers are the type of people who think that everybody is only ever a disappointed dad and some internet grumble away from murdering a woman, when actually the young lad would likely have to be a weapons grade autist or a barely sentient spastic.

This is where TTH comes into its own. Everyone else in the world is wanking over something being the closest thing to television perfection in decades, and here we are in a quiet corner of the internet correctly calling it shite. Well played lads. Another e-victory for us.

Wheel of Time S3 seems like yet another step up in quality compared to S2. It's really damn good and lightyears more entertaining than Rings of Power. Still a bit tricky to follow at times as a non book reader though.

After you watch it and no idea if it comes up. Please listen to this episode of a podcast I like: https://www.alabseries.com/episodes/...perfect-client

I don't want to spoil content but I assure you, it's genuinely one of the funniest things I've ever listened to.

Episode 5 of season 3 of Gangs of London is absolutely fucking deranged, even by it's own lofty standards
