Yev’s description is absolutely bang on and something I will be phrasing going forward
Fortunately for me, "couples television" is stuff like Night Agent and Reacher. I go one way to watch sport, she goes the other way to watch MAFS and similar shit, then we reconvene to watch stuff where faces get caved in.
Detective series generally involving corpses being found in the woods for us.
Yes tonight will be MAFS on the tablet for her and the Champions League on tv for me.
We did watch Am I Being Unreasonable? Together which I thought had some merit but is hamstrung by the fact the lead actors are the writers so I feel like that impacts development somewhat. Mainly shit like The Apprentice for us.
I maintain the top tier couples tv was Desperate Housewives, decent writing and all the top women prancing about in their pants shagging but packaged as women's tv.
You Can't Ask That is absolutely terrific "couples television".
Reacher is not "couples TV" aside from the bit where he takes his shirt off.
The even bigger lad is Dutch, which checks out. Absolute fucking unit that guy
Swear we were on about White Lotus, which is absolutely bang on
The final 2 episodes of this season's Invincible are bonkers.
Oh shit I forgot about Invincible.
The Wheel of Time is back which would be considered cause for celebration but it's been so long since the last episode I don't have a clue who anyone is or whats going on. The end of episode one I had to google whether this bloke existed previously and ran into 4 seperate book based spoilers.
First episode of Adolescence was incredibly good. Filmed in one shot
Watching that later, seriously looking forward to it.
Adolescence is a mess.
My wife watches Waterloo Road and I had trouble distinguishing it from that nonsense.
I've only watched the first three, but I'm please to see that even Stephen Graham couldn't be arsed after the first episode.
Episode 2 in particular could have been a Waterloo Road episode and nobody would have noticed.
Episode 1 - Very good
Episode 2 - Crap and plucked from a different show
Episode 3 - Good, but took a while to get going
Episode 4 - I'd given up caring well before it ended
Also didn't need four hours to tell me Andrew Tate is a bad man and bad influence on young boys, particularly at least five years too late.
Lol sadly this is correct. Had so much potential.
The head teacher giving it the big "an incel? Ermahgah! Wots dat?" Got an irl lol from me. Find me a single teacher in the land that doesn't know what an incel is ffs.
My boss called the team together this morning just to tell us all how good this is. Who's right, him or TTH?
Depends how many episodes he's seen.
This might be the best example, but that sort of thing was littered throughout the show and you could tangibly see the actors believed that these lines were absolute garbage and their performances dropping immediately as a result. You'd have a well built up scene only to be completely taken out of it by a character realising in said scene that the internet exists.
Just wait till we get an 8-part vape panic drama series.
The whole one shot thing falls apart when you have to do something, say, drive to the shops, for example.
I think these things suffer - like when the soaps have done similar story lines - because the writers are the type of people who think that everybody is only ever a disappointed dad and some internet grumble away from murdering a woman, when actually the young lad would likely have to be a weapons grade autist or a barely sentient spastic.
This is where TTH comes into its own. Everyone else in the world is wanking over something being the closest thing to television perfection in decades, and here we are in a quiet corner of the internet correctly calling it shite. Well played lads. Another e-victory for us.
I'm a twit
Finished it last night andToggle Spoiler
Absolute shite.
Wheel of Time S3 seems like yet another step up in quality compared to S2. It's really damn good and lightyears more entertaining than Rings of Power. Still a bit tricky to follow at times as a non book reader though.
Adolescence was genuinely brilliant, but then I'm a woke tranny shagger so what do you expect.
Reacher is such a funny show.

I'm one and a half episodes into Seeking Satoshi (a channel 4 documentary) and it's quite interesting.
After you watch it and no idea if it comes up. Please listen to this episode of a podcast I like: https://www.alabseries.com/episodes/...perfect-client
I don't want to spoil content but I assure you, it's genuinely one of the funniest things I've ever listened to.
Tribe with Bruce Parry is a watch.
Anyone watched Lockerbie yet?
Has anyone watched Beast Games? Thought it was really good. That Jimmy Beast fella comes across quite well.
Shrinking on Apple TV is great. If you liked things like Scrubs/Ted Lasso, it's in a similar kinda lane
Episode 5 of season 3 of Gangs of London is absolutely fucking deranged, even by it's own lofty standards![]()
