Check out The Kirk Minihane Show. Start with The Best of from Christmas the year before last to get a feel for it and learn the inside jokes. I think it'd quite speak to you Jim.

It's a format which really benefits from the guest being pissed.

I've been enjoying binging Real Dictators lately. Some of it maybe a bit entry level for the boffins out there. Narration and theme music are excellent if nothing else.

I strongly recommend The Belgrano Diary podcast. It's about the sinking of the Argentine battleship during the Falklands and the fallout following it.

Podcast was in the New York Times top 5. Just finished it, really good.

The Litvinenko Affair from a British Scandal is a decent retelling of events. The male presenter is a bit annoying, and their other topics are pretty crap - but the Litvinenko one is decent.

Good stuff lads. Keep it rolling.

The Bellingcat podcast series about MH17 is tremendous too.

For lovers of wild and unacknowledged irony don't miss out on [y]our man Gary the economics doomsayer on the High Performance Podcast.

Grift meets grift, brought to you by huel, hustle culture and an array of crypto payment scams, I mean systems.

I think fans of Gary need to accept that grifts can be more than money-based. His is an ego grift.

I just love the image of very concerned professional huckster Jake [dad was a CEO, probably had a pretty gilded life] Humphrey sitting there saying what can we do Gary with nary an eyelid batted, whilst shilling absolute shite like huel, fora and xtb or some other shit.

He's getting his message out beyond the left wing internet echo chamber. I don't think that's a bad thing at all.

He was on Novara the other week but anyone listening to that probably already agrees with him.

I guess it's probably a book tour thing, but he was on Piers Morgan the other day and it must be working to an extent as his youtube channel looks to have grown about 25% subs-wise [600k to 750k] in a couple of months. He's gittin gud grrr.

Shame he sort of fell out with Dan Neidle as I think his cause needs that sort of person to try and work out the nuts and bolts of it, but I think the general tax lawyer perspective is to just throw their hands up in the air and say this is just all too complicated to fix, which may or may not have an element of self-interest to it.
