Obviously the idea that there is flexibility on the part of one side of a deal but compulsion on the player seems a bit odd.
Assuming perfect knowledge of the before and after deal is probably not sensible. He kept his options open, the options didn't materialise so he went to Spurs?
Did Bayern ever pay them for Kane or is that still owing? Can throw that into the mix as well I guess.
