I'm 39 and I'd be ok having another one in the next few years age-wise. My youngest one is such a drama queen that it is turning me off the whole idea though. The first one is ace.
I'm getting the snip this year (just turned 39). The window has closed - kids are 8 and 6, youngest is neurodiverse and has speech and language difficulties (gestalt language processor, if interested). So although 8 y/o would be great with a baby, she's already a young carer for 6 y/o and it just wouldn't be fair on anyone.
Unless you're rich and aren't doing much of the parenting 40 is a rubbish age to have a child. If it's your first, even worse, as you'll have built a life without any of the hassle of having one in it.Originally Posted by Boydy

I don't know. When I was in my twenties, there was a lot of stuff that I wanted to do/see. Now I am ok dedicating most of my free time to my kids. I am also much more financially stable.
There are gels for that now.
