@Yevrah congratulations mate you are making great progress fair play.
Haven’t posted in a while so thought I’d share with you what I been up to.
My weight was slowly creeping up so Jul 1st decided enough was enough and to really dial in my nutrition and training so got on the scales and weighed in at 18 stone 13lbs think I’d been using the amount of exercise I was doing as an excuse to eat everything in sight !!
Fast forward to last Monday just over 2 months later my weight has come down nicely to 16 stone 6lbs as a result my running times have improved massively.
My 5k time is now at 24mins 30 seconds which I can do now without really pushing it so to speak.
Started strength training at the gym and with the treadmills there I decided to run a half marathon last week on one in just over 2 hours which I was quite happy with.
Next year I’ve signed up to the Pegasus Slam and Epona 100
The Pegasus slam is 6 ultra marathons in 6 months around 220 miles and 24,000feet in elevation
The Epona100 is in the middle of the above and is a 100 mile run around the Brecon Beacons with 18,000 feet elevation with a time limit of 50 hours.
320 miles 43,000feet elevation in 6 months which looking at that now is pretty daunting.
First off have to finish this year and I’m hoping if I don’t DNF any of them I’d have completed 7 ultra marathons 2 road marathons and 2 trail marathons
Although I’ve got a 34 mile ultra on the 26th of this month and didn’t realise the Off the tarmac Brecon 30 mile ultra I’ve signed up was 7 days later 🤦.
