And I packed a dupe Baresi last night but not sure where to put him. Feels like massive overkill with the SBCs right now. I even ended up doing Vitinha. Nothing expiring in the next 4 days so might just hold fire until tomorrows best of.
I have that 88 Di Natale card, but I can't really see what's so good about this Evo? 4/4 with shit strength and aggression.

It's a football simulation game or is supposed to be one at least. Never once in my life have I seen someone do a stepover and then gain incredible speed immediately. For reasons like this I view skills as essentially glitches that are being exploited. Don't even get me started on people who do said stepovers with every player once they receive the ball.
Our favourite leakers will surely have something for us tomorrow.
This new WL objective is a decent idea. Spreading over two weekends really eases the pressure on getting Bacha. Though her card is barely even an upgrade from the TOTS. Marchisio is an okay upgrade there, but very snide of EA to have TOTS out of packs for weeks, include them as criteria for all big SBCs and now tell you that you need a squad full.
I also took an all pink team into Rivals in order to test players and have fun. Kaka came along on the bench too. Team consisted of Courtois, James, Kalulu, Fabinho, Udogie, Kessie, Modric, Diani, Fekir, Sancho and Auba. Today I put in RLC for Modric(I already know he's great), moved Fabs into CDM to try him there and swapped Marquez for Kessie. Sorloth and Kaka came off the bench a lot.
Players I liked: Courtois. Probably best keeper not named Iker. Fabinho(at CB only). Something about him at CB just works better. Much less effective at CDM for me. Fekir. Just feels legit, 5* wf and brings set pieces to the team. Sancho. Elite dribbling, though shooting very inconsistent. Feels like he doesn't hit the ball hard.
Meh: James, Kalulu, Udogie, Marquez. These I found to all be decent, without being spectacular. Nothing wrong per se, but could be better still. James, I'd tempted to give a run in the main team to see again. Kessie also goes here. Great stats, but a CDM at this stage has to have either intercept+ or anticipate+, if not both. This let him down. Auba, again just doesnt specialise in one thing at all.
Bad: Sorloth. Just can not get on. Just not my style. RLC, feels so so slow. A look at the card closer shows 84 acceleration which may explain this, but he has quick step+
Kaka seems a good card but one I'm not sure where to use. He's probably more of a striker with the current game. Dribbling is good too and he gets these contextual touches that other cards don't seem to. Whether thats a Kaka thing or a standard press proven thing I dont know.
The team played okay, but in Elite Div against meta every game(did face one guy doing the same thing), it mostly lost. I've got a few new cards in to try now so most of this lot are off to gather dust, but I'm still trying and failing to get a Ramires/Sneijder/Baresi/Stoi/Ribery. All of the non-Baresi ones looks fun so I want.
Sancho has 84 shot power without chem style. It’s always his letdown. Managed to snipe two of him at 50k earlier and sold one for 59k. Trying to trigger the dupe gods but no luck.
I have picked up FUTTIES Marquez, FUTTIES Ramires, TOTS Foden and TOTY Essien. Along with a dupe Eusebio. Did the icon packs and ended up with Golazo Cole and GOTG Hernandez. I would have been happy with GOTG Cole tbf.

I do try all new cards on basic first tbf, then add a playstyle later so that may be why. Got a dupe Ole and Courtois in the same set of picks before but nothing pink since until finally getting a Baresi from my last exchange.
I have now cleared out almost all of the SBCs that reward a pick or player. The only one left is Vitinha. If I'm on through the day tomorrow I will probably get him done as I've still the rivals rewards and the packs from a likely new cup from 6pm. He does look good, just maybe very samey to Modric? I'm also hoping we can start kicking these SBCs up to 97+ ratings now.

I did his SBC the other day but havent tried him. Just working through them all in order of expiration since its going to be easy to do it all now.
This first has been nice for fodder etc but the lack of the "promo" team popping has been a bit shit.

Getting players, who suit your play style is a must. Especially with the plus play styles.
Indeed. This version at least has put maybe too much emphasis on the PS+. For example now winning a tackle with TOTY Rodri, is significantly harder than with the TOTS variant because the latter has Anticipate+. Even though the stats are only real +1s difference.
Managed three different dupe 95 Kalulu today. Each time I saw the pink card my hopes went up before seeing his face once more. Great fodder though and as such Vitinha is done.
I may do a few more PPs but I'm sure I'll be getting close to a soft ban again soon so it might be best to just wait til post 6pm now.

I advise doing this all the way through. It's so much better than getting stuck in whatever is meta or not. Perfect example above. The pros/meta rats would not touch that Bompastor card because they have to have their LB staying back and defending, according to their 4-3-2-1 which cannot change. However Sincere loves it and is getting loads out of it.
There are so many cards to use now it's really great, but I can tell you the same 6/7 I'm guaranteed to see next time I enter a Rivals game...

I have just a out waded through those servers to Epackulated. No Futties to speak of but a lot in the 89-92 range. 92 Lucio in three straight packs, with two of those being exchanges he went into and came back out of.
The last 51 player exchange gave me over 20 dupes so I've probably got 30+ PPs in the club ready for when the servers work.
I'll be having that Dybala. He being 4 cheaper squads with Butra 24 is lol.
I'll go have a look and see about a few Evos too.

Back on and TOTY Frimpong from an 82+ pick. He's a bit crap really and I think next year might be the first year I don't bother saving packs for TOTY. The playstyles power curve has made them nowhere near as good as they used to be.
I couldn't get on with the TOTS version much too. I know what you mean though. It wouldn't surprise me if we get 5 PS+ as the last hurrah this year.
In the past a TOTY would see you too the end of the year. That doesn't keep you opening packs though.

I've just noticed we have this batch for 2 weeks. I'd love to know why there are multiple versions of the same player again though.
Managed to get the SBCs rolling again on old gen and Dybala is ticked off quite easily. Back to the situation of almost nowhere to put fodder now though, unless you want an Icon. Abiliy seems pointless as with that set of workrates and playstyles, I'm not sure what she's supposed to be?
Riquelme probably has the best card he's ever had, but will I ever use it? As for Butra, it's only really 18 proper squads, but I can't help but feel that's a lot of time and effort for someone who I could end up dropping in a few days.
Just packed Futties Benzema from an 89 exchange pack. Only an hour in, not a game played in sight and I'm already well on the way to a super team.
The 82+pp into the 89 exchange circular reference might be the greatest thing they've ever done upgrade SBC wise in this.

Actually it's the SBC one that we have in this batch. I've already pulled it and I have the GOTG one which is better. Their pricing is so stupid. They keep doing it too. Bompastor another one. Her SBC is like 230k yet she has a new better card out which is under 100k.
Same pricing issue with Butra and Dybala. Yes Dybala doesn't get the chem boost, but both are CF types that are 5/5* and both are very similar in quality. Yet Butra is 1.5m ish more.

Apparently if you go into rivals and score 3 own goals it kicks you (normal) but you get the games played still (unexpected). Making the large games played unlocks for futties easier
Not sure if the games xp still counts.
Oh and RVP coming too.
