Agreed. They asked him on the radio whether he wanted to go for the softs to cover Lewis or Mediums to cover Max, so I assume Norris made the call. The engineers should know better and should be making those calls.

In my conspiracy brain I'm wondering if Ferrari have stopped developing the car to get a head start on Sir Lewis' arrival. They're going to make shit pit decisions as often as the sun rises but that car has been lacking pace for what seems like a while.

They brought an upgrade to Canada that did what Astons upgrade did last year and actually moved them backwards. They ran it again in P1 at Silverstone and it was so shit they went back to old spec.

The consistency from Verstappen was insane. Russell retired so on pure car performance he should have been 4th and not really anywhere near the front three. McLaren and Mercedes were much better than the Red Bull this week.

Going by GP's radio message, Verstappen was pivotal in making the correct calls in terms of pit-stop timings and possibly getting on the hard tyres, which shows that he just has a better understanding of stuff compared to most of his competitors.
He’s quite clearly the best racing driver of all time. He will beat every single record if he wants to
As competitive as he sounds now he kind of comes across like a fella that could bin the whole thing out of the blue one day too.
