Or maybe wipe them after the groups and 2 yellows (so one in the round of 16 and one in the quarters) gets you suspended for the semi. There should be some repercussions.
I just don't think it stops anyone from 'technical fouling' yet it handicaps teams at almost random.
Yeah but the alternative is that yellows mean almost nothing and you have the Turks (and whoever else) getting 10 yellows per game. There needs to be a solution inbetween in my opinion.
Yellows mean what they mean in any other competition: that you can not foul anymore in that match.
I definitely see your point, I just hate seeing players miss important matches because of what sometimes feel rather inconsequential.
Honestly think the technical fouls should be a straight red. If the rules are such that someone gets an advantage from deliberately breaking them then the punishment is insufficient.
