Just write keeper, Niko.
Probably. Bring on the Euros.
No, the Simms-Wright combo will be too much for City to handle.
No, but for some reason less likely than Coventry beating them in an FA Cup final.
Doesn't matter, Klopp leaving ensures it will be About Liverpool anyway.
Turtle(neck being worn by a bald bore.)
Just write keeper, Niko.
The correct way to take a penalty is to Pressman it into the top corner.
My brain can't parse the apostrophe at the start of a word. It starts scanning ahead looking for the end of the quote.
I see the BBC has a greatest Liverpool comebacks piece on the go. Some good memories in there. That 2005 team was so crap by modern super team standards. A better time.
Mellor's golden week or whatever it was.
Isn't that tournament going to have to essentially replace pre-season for the participants?
No more FA Cup replays though, so it's good to see the authorities are still focusing on the important things.
Last night's game summed it up. Champions League QF extra time, this is when you really need your top players to make it through.
However, you've got Man City without De Bruyne and Haaland on the pitch at the end. Real without Vinicius and Rodrygo, and Bellingham is out on his feet.
These are the moments you want the best of the best going at each other but instead ET was dogshit with one team playing for penalties and the other not having a fucking clue how to get through a six-man defence because they had their second string on the field.
But they were popping off Al-Hilal 9-0 in a mickey mouse competition a few months ago which balances it all out.
What seems to be mental about this World Club Cup is that three of your biggest draws in terms of fans Barcelona, United & Liverpool aren't included even though they are all in the top 12 of the continent co-efficient's but RB Salzburg are? You would think with the best will in the world FIFA would be trying to get those teams in from an eyeballs on the competition viewpoint and there is a way for them to do it as well.
How have Salzburg made it? I haven't yet explored how this nonsense works on FM.
There's a limit of two per country (with exceptions for CL winners or some such). It also uses FIFA's ranking system instead of UEFA's, whatever difference that makes.
To be clear, Arsenal going through yesterday wouldn't mean they would qualify for the competition. They would still have to win the CL for that to happen.

No more FA Cup replays is an obscenely bad decision. Fucking everything up for the vast majority so that about 5 managers stop whining about fixture congestion.
You also have to remember (vis a vis tiring players) that high press football is a choice, not a necessity. You want De Bruyne on the park at 115 minutes in a quarter-final second leg, don't make him hare about all season.
Managers whose teams are also very rarely actually taken to replays.
It's going to see a lot of smaller clubs really struggle financially.
They've also just canned the Premier League winter break. So now we know why the replays went away.
No more FPL blank/double game weeks from 5th/6th round cup postponements.
Hard to see how this all works out for the best if the PL clubs aren't forced to prop up the pyramid significantly.
They'll just keep promising Rick Parry that the offer is in the post for the next 20 years until everyone else has died.
A giant middle finger to all clubs outside the premier league. The gap is already a chasm and this just widens it. Cunts.
It definitely makes more sense to just scrap the League Cup.
Most entertaining European tie of the week incoming
I'm surprised scrapping the League cup hasn't been seriously suggested. Most of the time the bigger clubs don't care unless they draw a rival team or until they get to the semi-final. A shame but the FA cup has been going the same way.
Away end is straight out of the 90's.

Almost the strongest possible team from Klopp. If they can nab an early goal you could make them nervous. They did however have the perfect game plan last week which would work perfectly here. I just hope we don't concede in the first 10 mins again and kill all interest in it.
There must be some weird hold it has over English football for it still to exist.
The League Cup. It's bollocks.
You can probably thank the creation of the premier league for that. All competitions now exist for the benefit of/to sustain their sanctioning body, and that's the EFL's thing.
The FA Cup is still crap, but I wouldn't for one minute consider binning it off.
I wouldn't scrap the League Cup either. It's part of the fabric of English football.
When was the last time England had no clubs in the semi's of any European competition?
Surprising. I thought we'd be looking at the days of 'fgn' and 'asm'.
That particular season England had no teams in the quarters either.
I guess it was that transitional period after Ferguson but before Klopp/Pep.
Surprised Liverpool even bothered with a full strength side. Should be plenty goals anyway.
They only need city to draw 1 game to be back in it. And city never beat spurs away

High-line Spurs might be a different story.
It's just the way they play, mate.
Still starting the favela rat, presumably because a Jota injury really would kill any hopes but 90 mins in the tank for Trent and Ali can't be sniffed at.
Emi Martinez to do a Lunin and save 2.
S’il-vous-plait…
What is the ref doing?
Watkins will 100% miss after all this.
lmfao or before it
Martinez is amazing. Has the referee and the whole of the Lille crowd on his palm
Has the ref forgotten to send him off?
Probably thought it would be his first yellow.
