The FUT champs Evo just turns them red like the IFs from previous years.
I played the last two weekends to unlock one as it should help bypass the “in progress” evo thing.
Tbf, that Acuna card is pretty decent still. I'll stick Kalulu in it as he gets used in various Squid Battles objectives for me

Ive seen a new version of bellegarde with the chained evo floating around but he isnt much better than my current one. Cunha with a decent IF and Neto in the next Promo might see half decent cards.
The blatant pack weight turn up after toty is disgusting. I started davies and ive been doing the daily brzone and silver upgrade method since toty has been out of packs. Ive got one 87 section left. I couldnt get a sniff of bernardo silva during toty. Now, i have thrown him into every sbc
I haven’t opened a single pack this week. I have 4 large dupes with nowhere to put them.
Positive of that is I have all the bronze / silver upgrades ready for future stars.
Sounds like the academy stuff is going to be through evos for sure
They seem to have nailed down the formula this year to take it back to how it was when UT was only a few years old. Back then it was almost impossible to get the top players unless you sank the money in. In recent years, just grinding could take you a lot of the way there but you were reliant on some luck along the way.
This year they seem to have got it to the point of giving out mostly untradeable packs. Then turn the weight all the way down for TOTY and keep up the flow of untradeable upgrades. You could have basically unlimited packs, but the rate it so low you could be going for days without hitting one. You might get lucky and get one, or really lucky and hit on more, but almost assuredly they're all untradeable.
This has left the market disappointed as almost nobody has a TOTY to sell. Even if they do, why would you when they are so far ahead of the curve for the most part. It's now back to how it was. All of your coin might now buy you one of the outfield players, but that's likely it. Other than the two keepers, the cheapest outfield player in the womens team is just under 1m. Mens team? 3m.
Now you add in the TOTY Messi debacle. Most of your competitive players would have been online for that SBC and most will have got him. If you're more casual, you're now so far behind the power curve after this years TOTY that you either face a bad time when you try to play a ranked mode, or you just get frustrated with it and stop playing.
They obviously didn't intend for the Messi situation, but they have it how they want it. The top players are not quite unobtainable, but they are for most people.
Red Evo workaround being patched apparently. It will no longer work for turning an in progress evo into a finished one.
Sounds like the ones already acquired will be fine but new wont work. Operation Shoretire is still a go.

I packed Lukeba who is surprisingly good. He is short at 6 foot with good agility and balance for a CB. Makes him very nimble. Dropped VVD for him. Brought back in Kim and now running two teams. Wolves Evo and a Bundesliga Long Ball FC.
